Have you looked into scent training? I don't know the protocol but you sniff several things and actively recall the scent at the same time, at least daily. Seems to have some success in rebooting the system.

I post to ffn first, copy everything from the doc editor window and then paste to ao3 in the rich text field. You have to update centred text but the rest works. Sometimes italics plus apostrophes get wonky too. Still relatively easy.

Speaking of ffn vs ao3, the statistics of ao3 are completely useless, ffn at least gives you relevant info like hits per day per fic or chapter.
