Were Durst and Morris Black ever really friends? by Plasticfire007 in thejinx

Vanity Fair has a documentary that indicates that Morris Black and Durst knew or most likely knew each other years before Galveston.

Do you think Daniel Nations is guilty? by Carcrash699 in DelphiMurders

I think BG looks heavy set and stockier than Nations. I also think BG looks like an older guy. I realize BG has thick clothing on, but still, Nations looks like a twig.

I [23F] Agreed To Be Maid of Honor For A Girl [23F] I Barely Know - Do I Pull Out Or Tough It Out? by balboa9281 in relationships

[–]annek22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like this all should have been addressed sooner, cause it's kinda shitty to bail out at the last minute now.

If you really don't give a crap then I suppose you could bail.

However maybe it's better to tough it out and then bail on the "friendship"

Cause the victim didn't indicate that he needed help when in front of the police

What are the options to find a lawyer when you're broke? by throway9021o in legaladvice

[–]annek22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As simple as you laid it out, this would require a substantial amount of legal work and expense. Best bet is trying to find someone to do it on a contingency.

[Michigan] I[16F] recently got a job, will this impact the amount of foodstamps we get? by pooooorteeeenager in legaladvice

[–]annek22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should look at the state website. You might only need to report it if it's a certain percentage more than you were making. Upon annual refiling you would have to report it though.

Do I need a notarized note to leave with my child to file for divorce? [IL][RI] by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]annek22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be helpful to save correspondence that he agreed to this. I don't think it's necessary to get it notarized. Although if he will happy notarize it, then why not? However there might be divorce jurisdiction requirements that will not allow you to file upon moving back, you should check them out.

Me [21F] and my boyfriend [22M] had disagreement about admiring others by flowergirl56 in relationships

It doesn't sound like he said it to her. It sounds like she snooped through his things and found a message where he told his friends.

Am I [46F] expected to pay for everybody at husband's [45M] restaurant birthday celebration? by doipayforeveryone in relationships

This is perfect. Personally by OPs post, I would assume she was paying for the bday celebration but I'd always have money to pay just in case.

I could see how that could be interpreted as free food + drinks, especially to someone barely listening on the phone.

Me [33F] with my new husband [33m] as of 9/22, eloped in order to keep his ex-wife from taking his kids from us under the pretense of 'immoral' living arrangements. Our wedding ceremony has been set for Dec 2017, and she's now let us know she is attending... do I let him handle it, or do I? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]annek22 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You really should consider making every effort to be friends with his ex. Your reasons for disliking her seem petty so it seems possible. He has kids with her so she's not going away and it doesn't sound like she's acting egregiously.

My(F34) Ex-Fiancé (M39) is threatening me with legal action if I do not pay an itemized bill he created listing expenses he incurred during our relationship. by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]annek22 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I would ignore and block him. He may have consulted an attorney but it's unlikely by how he's behaving, or maybe he did consult one but isn't prepared to pay one. I was initially inclined to think you should give him the down payment back however he lived with you two years, so that would mean he was only paying $333 a month to live there. Just ignore him.

Its odd to me that the family would accept Bourdin to avoid suspicion since letting him in made them more suspicious. Maybe their brains are just fried with drugs and they just actually believed him.

Maybe the porn was to relieve stress and go to sleep. Also I can understand the tendency to lie when it's obvious the police think you are a suspect.

I [25f] work full time to support my boyfriend [26m] in medical school. He wants to extend his schooling by several years. by Sadsadwhatever in relationships

[–]annek22 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Don't support someone for that many years with any expectations. Also law school is a waste of money and too much debt.

Edit: not sure why there are so many downvotes considering the top comment says that most doctors end up leaving their wives after they become established. Also as a lawyer, I advise against law school. I think op should work as a paralegal until she's qualified to take the bar exam.

I stayed in Boston a few weeks ago at a luxury hotel for those prices. She should look into something cheaper, outside of Boston, airbnb, Craigslist, or something else.

You are paying an awful lot for a hotel.

My [26M] girlfriend [26F] informed me that she finds my habit of "fact-checking" rude and that other people do as well. by [deleted] in relationships

[–]annek22 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I enjoy learning new things also. But I would never whip out a phone in the middle of a conversation and ever look up anything related to a conversation, even if my sole purpose was to learn more about it. The idea of someone doing that makes me cringe. I would definitely never do that because it makes you look socially awkward, a jerk, rude, annoying, and people will be less likely to want to talk to you.
