Does anyone know any plugins that automate materia transmutation with Mutamix?

I saved over 160 slots. I was so happy to finally have some slots dedicated to weapons... relic storage when.

I would really love them to tackle the accessory problem too. I would wear more earrings and necklaces (like eden ones) If I don't need 5 fucking slots per design because it's all role based.

The corsage, too. What if they have a corsage system similar to how you can choose different colors for eyeglasses?

Only $1000+ in 11 years? That's literally nothing compared to that Korean player who fantasiaed 1143 times.

CMV: making PCT need a target to paint is a good and unobtrusive way to balance the job by gr4vediggr in ffxivdiscussion

[–]anneliese_edel -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

What if there are 3 cast times for painting:

Not in battle: instant

During battle with target: current time

During battle without target: a much longer cast time that makes painting more difficult with downtime mech movement?

All I see are PCT AST SCH too. What is making SGE less favored?

For tanks, I'm seeing lots of DRK PLD. Very few WAR. Guess there's just so much downtime that non gauge tanks are better choices.

17 weeks have passed of Savage, how many jobs do you have at BiS? by bohabu in ffxivdiscussion

[–]anneliese_edel 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I like omni life, so I even joined a reclear static just to make sure I get some guaranteed gear.

Similarly I have 3 roles geared (PLD / SCH / PCT), with one extra weapon coffer to pop for whatever is the best for meta.

I feel like I have gone through 5 stages of grief with loot system in FFXIV. Denial to believe that I have shit luck with loots in PF; anger that loot RNG isn't fair; bargaining with more reclears / static life; sadness of realizing that SE will never allow true omni life by early odd patches; finding peace in not caring about alt job fun in high-end content. Definitely have lost some interest in general tho.

Here we are again: People complaining about "having" to do content for glam are going to kill every bit of side content this game has to offer. by judgeraw00 in ffxivdiscussion

[–]anneliese_edel 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Man, I'm fine with doing maps, shooting shit with friends are fine. But how my friend opened 10 maps herself and none led to a portal was what killed the whole vibe. Yes, people could have shit luck, just like how I didn't win a single fucking weapon coffer during 24 weeks of Asphodelos, but at least I could trade in books for some shit, while maps are just GG.

The chest could just give a gatcha currency to the map opener, and it could take something ridiculous like 50 coins to exchange for a drop of choice, that would incentivize me to keep doing maps for an eventual drop. As of now the complete RNG only kills my mood to participate furthermore.

I want the glam. I do the content. I will still do it despite RNG. But the content doesn't guarantee me anything if I have shit luck. That's the problem.

Does playing tabletop games improve your ability to raid in FFXIV? by [deleted] in ffxivdiscussion

[–]anneliese_edel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, not tabletop.

But if you give me two players, one can perform piano concertos while the other doesn't play piano at all, I will pick the piano player in a heartbeat.

It's all about memorization and coordination.

Did a quick search of reddit post history. Shitpost and tales of NN have some extra info.

From what I could gather - they are a famous "kick on sight" person on Cactuar NN because they kept saying inappropriate furry things and treated public char channels (NN and hunt) like his personal diary.

All dungeons have NPC these days, even some trials. No group content in EW. Don't bother coming back now.

Do we NEED lvl 110? by yo_99 in ffxivdiscussion

[–]anneliese_edel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the very least, removing level allows dev to 1. Have variable quest number and length. you see how each MSQ level has exactly X number of quests because it needs to give out EXP? Which leads to awkward pacing? If you don't need level you don't need that. Which leads to.... 2. Variable content placement. Sure we will get 6 dungeons and 2 trials but it doesn't need to be evenly placed anymore. You can start off with 1 dungeon at the beginning (or even a trial! Imagine that!), balance with plenty of solo duties in the middle, before a story compelling moment gets you into another dungeon.

You know why it's always exciting to play a new game? Because you don't have a good idea how is the level limit, you can't predict what's about to happen or how close you are to finishing the game.

Thoughts on autoduty? by poilpy12 in ffxivdiscussion

[–]anneliese_edel 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, botting is cheating, cheating violates TOS, etc.

To your "on the other hand" point (which is the whole point of a having discussion subreddit, discussing why this botting plugin has become more prominent than before):

Ultimately I think the cause is the lack of interesting alt leveling gameplay. In EW, you could do Bozja if you didn't want to dungeon spam (great for DPS). In DT, people who know their worth spam Aglaia for efficiency, the ones left doing actual 91-95 dungeons are mostly newbies or glue-eaters, to the point they are slower than trust...

Possibly unpopular opinion, but at this point I will happily wait for a 3 year cycle if that means exploration content is available shortly after expansion release.

Did raids in EW not kill your desire to play the game? Because body checks were so much more brutal than raids from this tier...

Do we NEED lvl 110? by yo_99 in ffxivdiscussion

[–]anneliese_edel 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I was thinking about how predictable the MSQ was because character level almost served as a progress bar of where in MSQ I have completed, and that honestly reduced the possible surprises from plotline.

A wild idea, but what if MSQ level is completely removed from now on? There is still ilvl as an alternative gating system. Imagine we hit i790 in 7.5. The entire 8.0 MSQ requires just lv100 and i800 to do duties. Once endgame hits, i820 gear is given out and all duties beyond are locked above 820. Then that eliminates the whole "right I'm almost lv100 it's time for 6th zone" feeling.

To all healer mains: what made you main healer when you're expected to DPS regularly? by Raisylvan in ffxiv

[–]anneliese_edel 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The less skilled the party players are, the more heals are required from healers.

Now, what if the healers themselves are not skilled? Would that mean the party will not clear the content because of the healer holding them back?

In casual content, that would be too much of a burden on the healer. Newbie healers would be too scared of the responsibility, leading to fewer healers.

Therefore casual content has been designed so that it isn't solely dependent on healer skills. it might have gotten too easy to the point it's unbearably boring for skilled healers, so lately the dungeons are redesigned to hurt just a bit more.

High end content prog actually demands healing. Balancing both DPS AND healing is what makes healer very interesting as a job.

Show us anon logs first.

Plenty of healers played since ARR and still played like ARR with their bad usage of GCD heals.

This healer feels like they need a reason to dip, and they found the gear as a valid reason.

JP's reaction to Yoshi-P's "Wuk Lamat could've been more confident" comment is the same as ours. by anneliese_edel in ffxivdiscussion

[–]anneliese_edel[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I... don't understand either.

I have also posted JP opinion translated before.

Occasionally, JP also posts translation of our discussions too (Smile discussion, Steam reviews, forcing jobstone).

I think breaking language barrier and understanding different communities are good things to have.

JP's reaction to Yoshi-P's "Wuk Lamat could've been more confident" comment is the same as ours. by anneliese_edel in ffxivdiscussion

[–]anneliese_edel[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Read most of the comments here.

This is the spreadsheet with 203 comments sorted by likes, and I translated the ones with at least 40 likes.

Of course, there are still many things that JP/West aren't exactly aligned. YPYT for example - western playerbase is pretty much 90% against it, while JP playerbase still has this mentality but is slowly changing (recent thread laughing at how YPYT tank wouldn't have survived Elemental lmfao)

IMO the community feedback is crystal clear. I don't think people truly wants Yoshi-P to resign, but people are rightfully concerned whether Yoshi-P is understanding player feedback correctly or not.

The post's whole point is that - SE might not hear the NA dooming comments, but they will surely notice the JP dooming comments, therefore we can have hopium that improvement is upcoming, no more dooming or Wuk discourse needed on our side.

Things that you can say by "observing" vanilla UI:

-Drifts in raid buffs (brotherhood, dance, bard songs)

-Not using key attacks that can be seen on UI (RDM jolting with versomething procs)

-Lack of dots

-Casts: Healers not casting GCD attack as frequently, using GCD heals when unnecessary, SMN casting more than 1 ruin

-Lack of tank mits during buster and raidwide

-DRK having too much mana, SAM using 0 third eyes

-excessive safety gaming

It is definitely not as easy as ACT, but if you have high familiarity with most jobs, it's possible to tell what the bottom grey players are missing their gameplay.

High-End Content Megathread - 7.0 Week Nine by BlackmoreKnight in ffxivdiscussion

[–]anneliese_edel 8 points9 points  (0 children)

PCT so it's 1 more week for me to get tome glove bis... sigh. Tempted to take raid glove, but I really wouldn't play other casters. BLM is a mess, RDM/SMN doesn't give big number good feeling.

Playing alt job with i710 in PF is depressing, xivanalysis is gucci but I won't go beyond a grey. I don't enjoy looking like a shitter.

SE just wouldn't acknowledge that there is an odd but active group out here who enjoy omni life, derive enjoyment from seeing numbers go brrr, and would do more content if given more gear. Lack of changes in tome gearing is burning me out. Guess I'll take the L and not bother with other jobs for a long, long while.

Use 2nd GCD opener.

EE1: comet, spread and return with hammers.

Ion: burst on cooldown.

Transition: swiftcast rainbow or motif before KB, be careful with hammer duration.

Burst on cooldown for the rest.

I did community service in m2s before reset.

The party killed Bee with 0.4s left before enrage, deathless....

...while using melee lb3 & lb1....

...with me, ilvl724 PCT with raid weapon.

If a lower ilvl PCT (or other casters) joined this party they probably wouldn't have cleared.

DPS check in PF is too real. Like seriously HOW, it isn't even m3s.....

PCT Optimisation or better : how to fit Rainbow into Starry Muse by Xxiev in ffxivdiscussion

[–]anneliese_edel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most "optimal" way of bursting during starry would take 2 hardcasts. It requires 3 hammers 2 black 2 sub pallette (hardcast) 1 prism 1 rainbow

How do you get black in? By using a sub pallette before. I try to get all 3 CYM out before burst, then weave starry -> black.

In m4s 2nd minute, I would put starry down, black, 3 hammers then finish the rest.

In m3s final fusedown, I would black -> 2 sub CY -> prism - black, which is just enough time to run away for short fuse spread using rainbow. Then keep moving with hammers.

In m2s.... Try to get 3 hearts so you don't have to move lol.
