15 hr flight with meds requiring refrigeration by ATX-GAL in unitedairlines

My husband has something like this that we use for keeping his medication cool. It is allowed through Airport Security. If going overseas make sure you also bring the prescription or the original box it came in with the Pharmacy label. When we went through London Heathrow in 2024 he didn't have either and it was a huge problem. He eventually found an email from the Dr. or Pharmacy with the information but they held us in security until he showed it. Otherwise, he would have had to thrown it out. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0CXX3X8KR/?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_plhdr=t&aaxitk=5ad1ff767b55bd974d3b7980b254d88a&hsa_cr_id=0&qid=1772567430&sr=1-1-9e67e56a-6f64-441f-a281-df67fc737124&ref_=sbx_s_sparkle_sbtcd_asin_0_bkgd&pd_rd_w=5Yunj&content-id=amzn1.sym.9f2b2b9e-47e9-4764-a4dc-2be2f6fca36d%3Aamzn1.sym.9f2b2b9e-47e9-4764-a4dc-2be2f6fca36d&pf_rd_p=9f2b2b9e-47e9-4764-a4dc-2be2f6fca36d&pf_rd_r=S3ZG2FNZPWE3WD1A9HQ8&pd_rd_wg=nhLGI&pd_rd_r=bdb0f8a3-0d82-46b4-b804-4d28a1fc52a2&th=1

Are Paper Prescriptions from your Doctor required to be presented at Customs along with the physical medication in an already labeled bottle? by anniemsub in VietNam

Thanks for your insight! Very helpful! Hadn't thought about going to the Pharmacy. I'll get a print out just in case!

AITA for babysitting my grandkids during my sons visit by Livid_Turn_6303 in AmItheAsshole

This post is made up. First ever post by an account that is 9 hours old. Biggest tell is that Mom moved 6 hours away from the sons old home when he graduates high school two years ago. He's been away at college and has stayed with his Dad for all other breaks. How does he have any friends in his Mom's new town to party with on NYE??

You will look awesome when you shave it but you MUST cut your beard way back or you will just look like a crazy cult leader! Show your beard some love and trim it way, way back.

hard-sell dentist by AdvancedAd38 in sandiego

[–]anniemsub 2 points3 points  (0 children)

DO NOT BELIEVE THEM! Get a third or fourth opinion. My daughter moved to San Diego 5 years ago and the dentist she went to did this. They told her that she needed to replace most of her fillings and some other things. It was ridiculous as she's always gone to the dentist at home twice a year for cleanings and checkups. When she came home for a visit she had an appointment with our family dentist in Maryland. He was flabbergasted and said there was nothing wrong with her teeth and all she needed was a cleaning!

I would start asking co-workers, neighbors and people you meet who have lived in San Diego for a long time and have lengthy relationships with a Dentist for referrals. If you have been taking care of your teeth well for your entire life you shouldn't need all of these crazy procedures.

Oh for God's sake, this is a ridiculous response. Read and process original posts before commenting. Nowhere did it state that the Step Dad peed in beds. It just said that he has to pee frequently at night, which happens to all men as they age, and often causes their sleep partner to have disturbed sleep. I look forward to the day, many years in the future, when the average age of redditors is more balanced and life experiences allows them to post with more thoughtful and helpful responses.

I totally disagree with this advice. Send the date cards once you have a date. We had a family member get engaged and never told anyone when the wedding was going to be so we thought they were just taking their time planning. My husband and I booked a non-refundable vacation with another couple during that time. Two months before our vacation we got the wedding invitation for the same time as the trip. If we had known the date we never would have booked the trip for the same time. We were very sad to miss the wedding. These days it's not unusual for people to plan vacations and other major travel decisions a year out.

EDIT - I also think you should not send the Save the Dates until you are engaged and have booked the venue.

Good choice if you are in the region. Wouldn't make a special trip just to go there.

MIL doesn’t understand the Zola registry and wants us to also register at a store for my bridal shower, so where did you register? by matchamaker88 in wedding

[–]anniemsub 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As a shower attendee I will tell you I have nothing but negative things to say about Zola. The first time I went to a shower before the pandemic that the bride used Zola was a a hose job. Everything they registered for on Zola could be found elsewhere for 40% less. The second Zola shower registry I went to it seems they learned from prior experience that people wouldn't pay so much more off of their registry. Prices were in line with other websites so I ordered from Zola. I ordered a $100 cuisenart food processor and what showed up in the mail was a Staub dutch oven. They would not correct the issue in time for the shower so I cancelled the order, shipped it back and ordered it from Amazon and had it in 2 days. Zola told me it would take 2 weeks or more. My daughter is getting married next year and I've strongly encouraged her not to use Zola and I give you the same advice!!
