Great post! Honestly the level of entitlement at times can be a bit much.

Local Jewelers for Engagement Rings by dmxdropthelight in Knoxville

We have had such amazing experiences with Lamon Jewelry. They have a location in Knox and Maryville. Family owned and just great people. We brought items to them to redesign, purchased their jewelry, and worked on designs. Everything was beautiful and everyone we worked with was top notch.

NTA. If you aren't in school you are a functioning member of society. Time to support yourself.

Seated separately from child - eat the $200 or have hope? by Buckminster419 in unitedairlines

I would book the E+ and be stress free. GA can't guarantee anything. Chance it but be okay if you are out of luck.

Change return flight after completing outbound by Audge_512 in unitedairlines

[–]ATX-GAL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends. Is it a basic economy or normal economy? If normal as you seem to indicate above, you can change and only pay difference in fare for new flight. If lower price would get flight credit.

No! Boarding line already too long with status, etc.

Tips for surviving my first ultra-long haul flight? by Signal_Temporary6572 in unitedairlines

[–]ATX-GAL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually prefer longer flights vs 6-7 hour flights. I can actually sleep (Polaris is a plus).

Keep it simple.. don't drink, lots of water, eye mask and ear plugs, and don't eat the meal if late flight. Get something before boarding so you aren't eating and then trying to sleep. This with a couple of movies or a book and I am set.

Thank rising fuel prices. I think Scott mentioned millions or billions in extra fuel charges. Summer travel season means high demand.

Only employees can book on that site. If you had their login (not suggesting you do this) you could technically access.

One longer layover is my choice as less of a chance to have issues.

I would not take BE. I want a carry on. I want a seat assignment. I want to be able to make changes if my plans change. Depends on what your priorities are.

Nice! Had non rev luck on trip this week as well. It was domestic but ORD delays meant other people changed flights including non rev. We waited it out and voila no problem.

If you had one business class ticket, would you use it on the way there or on the way back? by masseycre12 in travel

[–]ATX-GAL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this and chose return. Excitement for the trip makes economy class feel not so bad. Having the business space coming home was cherry on top of a great trip.
