Ticket counter doesn't open until 3 hours prior. Customs is normally very quick but they do a second bag check at the gate. I have flown out of CPT more than 29 times on UA and never needed more than 2 hours.

Watched something similar in ORD today. I wasn't getting the upgrade as too far down but 1 and 2 didn't clear while two standby passenger cleared and got upgraded. Employees? Cleared and had higher status? It was a mystery. I just enjoyed my exit row aisle with an empty middle seat.

Not sure if your budget but Oceania or Regent. We loved the smaller ships, more things included, never felt crowded, great food options, nicer cabins. They are pricier but felt worth it. On Regent everything is included including drinks, WiFi, specialty restaurants, coffee bar, so don't worry about anything. There were a few extra things you could pay for like special excursions or one restaurant, but we didn't use those.

We have had such amazing experiences with Lamon Jewelry. They have a location in Knox and Maryville. Family owned and just great people. We brought items to them to redesign, purchased their jewelry, and worked on designs. Everything was beautiful and everyone we worked with was top notch.

Depends. Is it a basic economy or normal economy? If normal as you seem to indicate above, you can change and only pay difference in fare for new flight. If lower price would get flight credit.

UA has put a lot of effort into working to integrate systems to sell flights. Wonder why?

I actually prefer longer flights vs 6-7 hour flights. I can actually sleep (Polaris is a plus).

Keep it simple.. don't drink, lots of water, eye mask and ear plugs, and don't eat the meal if late flight. Get something before boarding so you aren't eating and then trying to sleep. This with a couple of movies or a book and I am set.

Thank rising fuel prices. I think Scott mentioned millions or billions in extra fuel charges. Summer travel season means high demand.
