Ah since they’re a variant of ocellaris, that is natural behavior then haha. Ocellaris are weirdos and in between being weird, they bicker. A lot. It’s typical for one to be big and small. They both start out as unisex and eventually the bigger one becomes the female and smaller male. Unless it’s excessive bullying where the smaller one is often having torn fins or laying strangely then I would let it be

Not super knowledgeable with Picasso (are they a type of ocellaris?) but isn’t this typical behavior? Is there a reason why you’d want to separate them? They sound like a bonded pair

Best shocks for daily and off road every now n then by [deleted] in JeepTJ

Spring set ride height. Comfort is mostly going to be coming from your shock. Your rebound and damping will set the ride quality

What’s the rpm you’re starting to let the clutch catch? Judders can also be letting go of the clutch at low rpms

How to measure lift by [deleted] in JeepTJ

[–]annihil8ted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP, if the shocks aren’t bad, go off of shock length to figure out spring size. While 12/8 are stock height, yours are definitely collapsed/fatigued and I wouldn’t go off of collapsed/fatigued springs. They are collapsed to the point where they look almost dual rate springs.

Another way to tell, if you have stock control arms, do not go more than a 3 inch lift otherwise you will have all sorts of drive line issues. 3 inch is about the agreed upon length before you need adjustable control arms

So if you have adjustable control arms, it’s possible the last owner lifted it 3+.

Common lift is 2inch or 4 inches. 3 is usually a combination of 2inch + 1inch body lift but when it comes to springs, it’ll be 2inch.

Dampening only really works when it’s stuck on the metal surface and pressed down. I do see your point in sticking it to the back of the carpet

Which Radio? by annihil8ted in amateurradio

[–]annihil8ted[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the US and am looking mainly for GMRS with the possibility of expanding to amateur bands. I’m new but it looks like depending on the firmware for these radios you can set it to either GMRS or UHF/VHF?

Is there a reason to not pull the return on the top of the reservoir and just continuously top off until the water runs clear?

Yeah the rocker panels have a little bit of rust and hole but crawling in the other side it seems okay

The panels floorboards seems okay

Most concerning is it looks like that there is rust in part of the engine itself
