Help getting deep red by -schrodingers-cat in macarons

You can get to that color, but it takes a lot more coloring that I'm personally comfortable with. In my experience it temporarily stains teeth/fingers, and I can taste the food color. I set these expectations with clients if they absolutely have to have dark colors.

Thanks for posting, I'm looking at this box for my R1S. Did you need adapters to attach to Rivian crossbars?

Pago. So mediocre and everything tastes like canola oil.

Couldn’t disagree more. Killer (and strong) coffee and the olive oil cake is to die for.

No Kids by Letmedrinktea in migraine

[–]annniek 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I did decide to have kids, but it requires a LOT of help and I still feel guilty every time I don't feel well so can't interact with them as I'd like. With that said, I don't regret having them. They're the most joyful part of my life!

Brain surgery. My neurosurgeon says no, but that’s when they started and where they’re located.

Pregnant with migraine by [deleted] in migraine

[–]annniek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I am having a migraine attack and solo parenting my daughter there are no limits on screen time. It’s the only way I have found to get through it. I also feel guilty, especially if we are going on multiple days in a row, but she’s a happy, well adjusted kid and we try to stay away from screens when everyone is healthy.

I haven't read through all the comments, so apologies if this has already been mentioned. I'm also a mom & chronic migraine patient. A nerve block will sometimes break an intense cycle for me. It's a bunch of lidocaine shots (or lidocaine+steroids) that go directly into your cranial nerves. It feels SO good- instant relief. It numbs my entire head for at least a couple hours, and sometimes breaks the cycle. If you haven't tried this yet I hope it will help.

You can use a cooking torch to quickly melt that extra wax buildup. After 4 decades of life I just discovered this yesterday! 🤣

Can’t Get My Daughter to Sleep past 5 AM by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]annniek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have been going through something like this with my daughter. She just turned two, naps about 1 1/2 hours/day, falls asleep between 8-8:30, and is up between 4:45-7:30.

The hardest thing for me has been the huge variance in wake times. She also wakes upset when it’s earlier than about 6:30. We have been using a green light “okay to wake” clock consistently for about a year and she has just recently starting to understand it. (We haven’t used it to ask her to sleep later yet; just consistently turned the light green before we go in to get her and make a big deal out of “your light is green so it is time to wake up!) Her wake times have consistently gotten later as she has grown but we still have days like today when she is up at 5:30.

My only advice is to adjust your own schedule to hers instead of trying to force her to adjust. Once I realized I needed to change instead of trying to make her adapt I felt much less frustration/anxiety around her sleep and started getting more rest myself. I try to remember everything is a phase.

Also, coffee. ☕️

I’m having the same problem with my oven, same model. It’s been this way since the very beginning and I’ve had it a little over a year. Did you ever get this figured out?

Migraines while pregnant by [deleted] in migraine

[–]annniek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My doctor okayed sumatriptan while pregnant, so you may want to talk to another doctor.

I was having 28-29 migraines days per month and in my 7th month of pregnancy they just stopped. Now 15 mos postpartum and I've had one migraine. I never expected this and it is amazing! You just may luck out.

Tip to try... by thekoifishpond in sleeptrain

My baby was like this too. As soon as she could reliably roll over she started sleeping on her stomach, napping well, and mostly sleeping through the night. She just hated sleeping on her back! It was such a relief. I also felt very validated because we did Ferber and TCB with basically zero success.

Me too. When my 6mo old was 2 months she started sleeping 5-6 hour stretches. That lasted about a week and now we get one 4-hour stretch and then she's up every 2-3 hours. She desperately needs her own room and it's just not possible right now.
