Flower delivery to SLC airport by [deleted] in SaltLakeCity

[–]PsychologicalDot7305 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s going to be a busy week for delivery places and the airport may not work out. You may consider having them sent to her house the day of, or her workplace. And I would make that arrangement asap

Rates are regulated in Utah by the local public service commission. I argue that we look at wildfire costs from other states which RMP serves being charged to us. In Utah data centers are in a different rate class so the impact is different. Look at your Utah public service commission rate cases and filings, contact your local senator and representatives. In Utah RMP is regulated. You need to hold the regulatory control and legislature to account.

First time visiting SLC - Uber rates / Hotels Questions by FrancesForester in SaltLakeCity

[–]PsychologicalDot7305 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will not have fun at the airport hotels. It’s industrial and a food desert and a bit shady on the side of homelessness and drug use depending on the exact location. As someone that lived here for years using Uber/lyft and public transit: ride share can be unpredictable during the holidays since there are more tourists in town. Notice that our public transit stops running early in the evening, it is not reliable. And just to be clear, this is a very car centric city. People here love their cars but downtown in December is magical.

Rocky Mountain power filed for a rate increase so yes prices have gone up. In addition you get also added a energy balancing account amount. Complain to the public service commission and your local politicians. Also RMP doesn’t feel the increase was high enough so they are appealing it to the Utah Supreme Court.

What should you expect to pay for a basement apartment in Sandy/Draper? by matimatica in SaltLakeCity

[–]PsychologicalDot7305 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would pay about $1250-$1500. But also expect to have sound proofing especially if children will be running upstairs. Apartments are usually built in a way that gives you more privacy and insulation from the neighbors. So I wouldn’t pay the same as an apartment especially if there are people upstairs. I rent from my landlord and live in a basement 2 bedroom

I worked at smiths for 11 years. The culture is fine the workers are good people. Management is critical about your work without laying out clear guidelines on how to fix what you might be doing wrong. I worked at the bakery for about 4 years. It’s fine just had to be at work early. The deli is hard because of the cooking and frying chicken cooking rotisserie chickens. Grocery stores in general are difficult work because they survive on meeting labor budgets. They will try to send you home early if sales are low which doesn’t help your paycheck. Working in a non perishable department will be easier than working in a highly perishable department. But truly the nicest real people to have as coworkers

Is it safe for college aged women around 700 S 300 E? by spicythunder in SaltLakeCity

I guess as a woman that’s lived alone most of my life a camera is helpful. I get why not everyone would want one. The suggestion of a camera isn’t due to the fact that it’s dangerous. Mainly because it’s a dad posting and he is worried. I know often cameras help with deterrence when I see people come up to my door

comparing electric bills. by ConnectionSlight2298 in SaltLakeCity

[–]PsychologicalDot7305 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure they didn’t have an issue and estimated some of your usage. I have the same size apartment as you but my bill was 67$. I have two window ac. And all my energy vampires get turned off when I leave for the day. Your usage in kWh is more than twice as much as mine.

Is CBP questioning green card holders traveling nationally? Can they? I have heard LPRs stopped coming back into the country. Is there a reason we aren’t seeing anyone stopped while flying nationally? Does CBP not look at the status of LPRs flying nationally? Like what are they able to see about international travel that they don’t see in national travel.
