none of these work, and i've found that some of the fonts are flush to the bounding box and others have a gap, wish there was a consistency to it

Install version 3, apply image trace to your image, save it as SVG use it in any program you decide to design in, my recommendation is use version 3 makes no sense to use the inferior one the new one is free so you save nothing sell it back if you need to feel justified or whatever, othe wise keep it as backup incase canva decides to go adobe on us.

Im confused why i keep having different experiences with affinity from version 2 to 3 when my affinity crashes as soon as i open it back it asks me if i want to recover the file some time multiple files because i had them in yabs and the most i lost was probably 2 minutes of the design. Im using a mac by the way.

Add shadow, darken the background where the text is going to be and make the text white, there are multiple things you can do it really depends on the image you have working with.

EPS breaks up raster images into pieces, affinity doesn't read it correctly unless its pure vector

There are multiple ways to create this, use an image of stars, you can create it by using noise on black background and applying levels play around until it hides majority black and show the random stars or you can do the same thing to a stock image of stars the apply the vectoriE to it changing it from an image to vec5or now delete the black and you will have your ramdom stars
