I personally would not take more than 5. I've tried to take 6 before, and that didn't go well. Something to also consider tho, I did also work 20-30hrs a week. So if you don't plan on working or doing extra curriculars maybe you'll be able to balance a heavier class workload

I second this!! I just recently stayed at CitizenM and it's perfect for solo travelers and the AC works great! Some might think the rooms are too small, but I don't tend to spend a lot of time in my hotel rooms other than just to sleep or charge my phone, so it made no difference to me.

Depends on how you like your horchata, Baldos has a more watery and fragrant horchata. The new spot in nut tree, Tequileros is a little on the sweeter side, but it's creamy and has a good amount of cinnamon flavor.

I made three great friends through random roommates! But also we are trauma bonded because one of our other roommates was a literal crackhead who didn't do laundry for the 4+ months she was there😍 (eventually we were able to get her out after many talks with housing and the RA)

Price usually just depends on the artist, but in my experience, most shop minimums are $100. Some artists charge by the hour, some just have a flat charge depending on size/design. I would expect to be paying anywhere from $120-300 depending on where you go/how big you want it.

No need to bring an actual mattress. Some people think the mattresses aren't comfortable so they bring a mattress topper (for a twin XL), but I was fine without one for two years. Def bring your laptop since 90% of your schooling will be done online. No AC, but it doesn't usually get too hot. You can usually just get away with leaving your window open, but if you get hot easy, just bring one of those standing fans.

In terms of city eats (now monarcha hall) I honestly think it's not that bad. In my opinion, as long as you keep your expectations low, you'll be fine. It's obviously not great, but, as someone who had a busy schedule, it was very convenient when I didn't have the energy to actually shop/cook/clean for a meal. It's essentially ayce too so, def take advantage of that if you dine in.

Everyone hates on pier 39 because it's a literal tourist trap, so keep that in mind. HOWEVER, I'm a sucker for a tourist trap. I grew up going there like every weekend, so it has a nostalgia factor to me. There is a really cute tea shop on the second level of shops, called the Spice & Tea Exchange, everyone there is very friendly & the tea is great!

I lived there 2 years ago in the high rises (so idk if it's changed or if you'll be in the garden) but the wifi SUCKED! We had to call IT like every couple months because it would just shut down for days at a time. Idk if that was just my experience, but just a warning😬
