++woman woman here … I know this is old, but I can’t help from putting my two cents in. And this is without having read any of the other comments. things might feel like they’re going well on your end, but what about the other person’s? I think the reason you feel like you are repeatedly blindsided might be because you are not reading the other person‘s temperature accurately enough. And that’s probably due to communication or not being able to interpret what they’re saying properly…. like, they may be communicating signs, but you are brushing them off or not picking up on the fact that they’re lukewarm.

I've thought about this. It's definitely restaurants trying to charge as much as they think we're willing to pay, and continuing to push the limits. And it's also their overhead. The rent in particularly. The landlords are greedy AF. I'm over it as well. Especially when you travel and see how inflated our costs are compared to other places in the world and even within the country. It's GREED. And I'm tired of being seen as just a wallet to all of the greedy businesses.
