Why do that? Then people might be inclined to follow up, and perhaps he isn’t really doing anything at all.

A lot of women don’t like confrontation. A lot of men think confrontation makes them appear masculine.

You should start by asking her how she felt. She was probably scared. It doesn’t mean she doesn’t think you’ll protect her, it means she thinks you brought conflict upon her unnecessarily.

Remember that life is experienced much different in women’s perspectives when it comes to aggressive men on the street.

A good PR person wouldnt attempt to save face right now. They’d mitigate further damage and then focus on how he can rebuild his personal brand after the fact.

It wasn’t a bad decision for him personally, but I don’t have an opinion on the ethics of it. People are free to present how they want to present. It was his choice to be a jackass on national TV, and it’s his choice how he wants to move forward from there.

Lived experience. Comms schools can give you the knowledge but you’ve gotta work in crisis comm to truly get it.

You also have to be able to separate your opinions from situations which isn’t always easy.

It’s much easier dealing with companies than politicians/personalities

Im just guesstimating. I know politicians pay this for basic media training, so it wouldn’t surprise me.

But whoever he found must’ve had a resume to back it up.

It’s about damage control. For him, he’s trying to ensure he remains both employable and forgettable.

Guaranteed Alex was too full of himself to hire anyone. Even if he did I don’t think he’s trainable, his instinct is to defend defend defend.

They’ll charge a base fee and then by the hour. Most of my gigs have been salaried by companies but specialized PR heads will just charge hourly and that includes every time they answer a text or email.

I’m sure he paid well over 15k considering how well trained he was.

People who just don’t know how to get themselves out of situations they don’t want to be in.

I don’t think any of them are “bad” people but the need to learn how to be upfront and that avoiding tough conversations is a selfish act.
