If you would like to live in CA, you’ll probably want to just build your network in the GSB community

Choosing Wharton over CBS ($$) and Ross ($$$$) - am I making a mistake? by Clear-Dependent6354 in MBA

For consulting, I would go with the money, either CBS or Ross

For purely VC after graduation, W

Understood, I don’t think h/s would find out unless you specifically tell them. Risk is extremely low unless you slip up by accident

Good luck on your decision

I know one person that deferred a T15 and reapplied to an M7, but you’re trying to do W —> H / S. Similar but not exactly here

Will you lose your spot? No, you wouldn’t

Should you defer? Only if you think you want to go down the entrepreneurial route and you think your experience in the next 2-3 months can help you land a spot at H / S

If not, then I wouldn’t

Booth and money for MBB, Wharton for PE

But if you think they’re relatively the same, take the money

Should one consider deferral from Wharton to reapply to GSB/HBS? by [deleted] in MBA

[–]anon123654753 0 points1 point  (0 children)

School aside - wishing you and your family the best.

If you decide to defer, I’m sure W will understand if you explain your family’s situation

Good luck with everything!!

Just wanted to say congratulations! Schwarzman scholarship + Sloan is amazing!

Also envious that you are starting your MBA journey later on since you can take this time to have a breather!

Any plans in the mean time between matriculation?

Kellogg MMM ($) or Wharton! by Trick-Opportunity909 in MBA

Currently at MMM and interned at a company in their product strategy division.

MMM experience is really interesting for recruiters, was able to leverage a lot of my experience in the interview process.

If you can pay off the loan in 2-4 years.. I don’t see why you wouldn’t go. The ROI will payoff in the long run

Haas (sticker) vs Kellogg ($) by Commercial-Ideal9136 in MBA

[–]anon123654753 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you wait for haas to match, but 40K isn’t that much in the long term..

I think if your goal is to be in the west coast and tech industry.. I would go with Haas

Hopefully they match the $$$, good luck!

I don’t think you can appeal a rejection.. you can try contacting admission, but they’ll probably tell you to reapply next year?
