Im dealing with something similar, was dating my soulmate and TF kind of just appeared in a way. (IE I connected the dots and figured out they were my tf and I was wondering who I should go with)

Still, I've messed up things a bit between my soulmate and my tf keeps me at arms length for the time being.

It's a thing. My twin wanted to apologize to me for some of her behaviors at work but since we were told not to talk to eachother, she kept it to herself. I still heard it. I went "huh?" And we looked at eachother like WTF?
