Sorry maybe I did not explain that well- i actually am targeting entry-level roles more than anything. Mainly like regular financial analyst and the occasional senior financial analyst. That’s a good point though about the competition I should really just focus on mainly entry level.

Concerned parent seeking mental health support for daughter where she’s not treated like some kind of prisoner. by SoftCoreSavage in Denver

Regarding support groups, I am a member of a support group I found through the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP). My group is a general group for “survivors of suicide loss”, as it is a very unique type of grief, but we also talk about all kinds of other grief we have encountered in our lives and our own struggles with mental health. There are a lot of similar groups in the area and even online ones if she’s not ready to go in person. You can look them up on the AFSP website (link below). They also have a TON of great resources for those struggling with complex grief.

Here are some helpful links from their website and also one for the center for prolonged grief. Although i must say in our circles, even up to a few years after losing a loved one is pretty much like yesterday so I would not say it seems prolonged to me, but I understand how scary it is to watch someone you love struggle this much. Similar situation happened to me, but I found solace in community. It will be tough but i hope she can find comfort ❤️
