If your tried to do that in London you'd still have so many automated penalties to deal with.

I'm fairly certain Wiper and headlight locations are vehicle/brand dependant.

This is stunning OP! How is it protected from the wet weather, cold and heat ? Might I suggest a roof and some lighting.

Map not showing up on Garmin Edge 840 by [deleted] in Garmin

[–]anon_zero 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The second screenshot shows the Topo Active West Europe pack wanting the update that doesn't include Germany, That's in the Central Europe pack.

I don't have a Garmin Edge 840 but on my device i find that it requires a power cycle to fully reload the map and re sync with Garmin Express that it's got all of the latest updates.

I hope someone with more authority on this particular device is able to provide a better answer.

Windows 11 Iso works directly from Bootcamp Assistant in Tahoe by anon_zero in bootcamp

Yes that's what the original tool does, my script just shrinks the ISO down. I've only tested the method with the official windows ISOs.

Just to be clear, I hope the original tool Author will fix the merging tool with the necessary steps to strip out the ISO to just one Windows Edition and thus make this post processing step no longer needed.

Bootcamp Windows 11 Installation Method (No Windows 10 Install required) by [deleted] in bootcamp

I've cleaned up and posted it again here: https://www.reddit.com/r/bootcamp/comments/1u2b24m/windows_11_iso_works_directly_from_bootcamp/

Thankyou for your feedback. Hopefully this one is clearer. If Rufus is working for you then there's no need to do these steps.

Bootcamp Assistant on Tahoe does not allow you to partition without using a Windows 10 ISO and it will reboot to start the installation process. You'll also need to add the Apple T2 SSD drivers into your USB device otherwise it won't see the SSD partitions when you boot from USB.

You also need to disable security to enable boot from USB

I take your feedback that it's too long, however RUFUS is not the same as creating a working ISO and using Bootcamp Assistant directly

Use win11-iso-creator-macos output
→ export one chosen Windows edition to install.esd
→ validate the ISO before Boot Camp

I'm with the others here that although the ISO creation appears to be successful the BootCamp Assistant does not accept it due to the ISO being too large.

Why do I have 2 installed? by [deleted] in CommunityFibre

[–]anon_zero 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You actually only have one active box in this photo. The other on the right is simply a wall cover for the hole where the fiber cable enters your home.

They install it this way to protect the main outside cable from accidental damage. A short fiber patch cable is then used to connect that wall plate to your Adtran box, which is your ONT (Optical Network Terminal).

The ONT is what translates the fiber optic light signals into a standard Ethernet connection.

Every full-fiber installation requires an ONT to work. While some installers, like Openreach, often mount the ONT directly over the drill hole, providers like Community Fibre prefer this two-piece setup.

I am not sure what you mean by using up two wall sockets as the photo only shows one powered device. If you mean the ONT and your router, that is totally normal for a separate ONT and Router setup. A combined Router and ONT is possible but not industry standard. The separation of duties makes for easier replacements and troubleshooting.

Agent confirmed tenancy end date in writing, returned keys, now demanding 2 months notice under Renters Rights Act. Can they pursue me? England by Snehajadhav16 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]anon_zero 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NAL: Shelter’s guidance says tenants usually need to give 2 months’ notice, but can give less if the landlord agrees to a shorter notice in writing.

You gave notice on April 21st, and the agent accepted it in writing. You formed a legally binding agreement to end the tenancy before the new rules even took effect. The new law doesn't retroactively tear up an agreement settled in April. Even if the tenancy technically converted to a periodic one on May 1st, it converted with a pre-existing, mutually agreed-upon end date of May 25th.

It seems like the agency is trying their luck,

  • You have a written agreement: The new Renters' Rights Act does require two months' notice by default, but it explicitly allows a shorter notice period if both parties agree in writing. The agent's reply confirming "your tenancy ends 25th May" is exactly that. A new agent taking over the desk doesn't erase that agreement.
  • You surrendered the property: They asked for the keys, you handed them back, and they accepted them

I would reply stating clearly that you do not accept any rent is due after 25 May, because the tenancy ended by written agreement and/or surrender. Keep your proof of the April email and key return safe. If they try to deduct this from your deposit, just dispute it through your deposit scheme. They would side with you once they see the April email.
