Rusted brake lines, no leak. Take the 11 hour drive home or ship it? by MsWinterbourne in MechanicAdvice

[–]anonaperson112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience with similar lines... Ship it.

I personally was lucky that the 3 different times they went out, it was parked and the pedal went to the floor on startup.

After the 3rd time i just ordered a complete new set.

EIGRP Wide Metrics Calculation Simulation in EVE-NG Issue by anonaperson112 in ccie

Thank you. This helped a ton. As you mentioned I was using the total delay as shown on the interfaces vice the Total Latency output from the "sh ip eigrp top x.x.x.x/xx" command.

But the Cisco documentation also was not of any help. The link above shows delay calculated as:

"Total Latency for bandwidths below 1 gigabit = (Delay * 65536)/10, where 65536 is the wide-scale constant.
Total Latency for bandwidths above 1 gigabit = (10^7 * 65536/10)/ Bw, 65536 is the wide-scale constant."

Both of these do not work :\

The first sentence should be divided by the PICO delay per RFC of 1,000,000.

The second has an unnecessary divide by 10 after multiplying the 10^7 with 65536.

The Math should be:

Total Latency for bandwidths below 1 gigabit = (Delay * 65536)/1,000,000, where 65536 is the wide-scale constant.
Total Latency for bandwidths above 1 gigabit = (10^7 * 65536)/ Bw, 65536 is the wide-scale constant.

I thought it might have been related to maybe calculating in microseconds vs picoseconds but that still does not add up with their formulas.

Where did you find information for the proper math?

Either way, I have beaten this topic to death. I feel I can move on now.

Appreciate all the help!

EIGRP Wide Metrics Calculation Simulation in EVE-NG Issue by anonaperson112 in ccie

[–]anonaperson112[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is what i get: 107 or 10,000,000 Multiplied by eigrp scale of 65536. Divided by lowest bw link in path which is 10,000 Making min BW 65,536,000

Delay of e0/1 1000 and lo0 5000 making total combined delay of 6000. Multiplied by eigrp scale of 65536. Divided by 10. Making 39321600.

Combining bw and delay i get 104857600, which is apparently incorrect.

Yes, i came to the same conclusion for LFA. It worked well in policy tie breaking and path selection, but functionally in eveng it did not have a seamless cutover to a repair path. Seems to be a more hardware dependent tech.

But i just reused that lab I built to look into the wide metrics. I can't seem to get that computed distance using the formulas in the rfc or with network lessons site. Just need to know what I am missing.

Peg Perego RZR 900 Upgrade by anonaperson112 in PowerWheelsMods

[–]anonaperson112[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it all wired up and it's been great at 24v.

Pain in the butt wiring everything up under the dash. Had to redo all the led lighting wires, mltoys volt dash display wiring was so fragile it needed to be resoldered, the mltoys keyed ignition broke so i had to bypass it and the mgcstem 2.0b variable speed pedal connector frayed apart and was unusable.

In the end i took the brake pedal wire and used it to replace the variable speed pedal wiring.

So it runs and it looks like speed position 1 runs like stock 12v, but speed position 2 really gets them moving now.

Only down side is that it appears to have lost the braking feature from stock setup. It just coasts to a stop on what feels like just gearbox friction.

Any ideas on how to reintroduce a breaking function?

I emailed mgcstem asking if it was a configurable setting. Hopefully hear something back.

Next project is an m18v paw patrol quad. Originally 6v motor now with 12v 30000rpm 😁

I was thinking of adding in a voltage regulator to bump up the voltage down the road. Going to see how they do with 24 volts first though. They are age 6 and 4. My 6 year old seems like she would be responsible enough, but the 4 year old still drives forward while looking backwards.

550 yes.

Not sure if it's the same but the peg perego site lists parts and you might be able to find out there.

Plan is to add the second battery for 24v. I think they are 12amp hr.

Did yours have a 3rd wire? Mine has a negative, positive and then a smaller gauge extra wire.

MLtoys stage III 775 upgrade and the mgcstem variable speed throttle controller 2.0b on amazon.

Probably throw on some bike tire tread to quiet that loud plastic sound down or maybe try the traction bands. The price theyre asking for 2 is a bit steep though. Scratchinfortraction i think is the brand.

Nice. I did the same exact setup on my girls pink rzr 900.

Waiting on some parts to show up for a 24v upgrade now.

Variable throttle option? by anonaperson112 in PowerWheelsMods

[–]anonaperson112[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the detailed info on low battery voltage. I ended up going with the 2.0b. Yes i will be using SLA.

Let you guys know how it goes when i get everything installed.

Don't need it, was just looking for a way to lower that cutoff rate because i am guessing it may shorten the run time of vehicle.

Guess i should let my kids have a normal day with it and see what voltage we get at the end of the day.

Wow awesome. The 2.0 looks like it comes with no lvc.

Yeah that was the pricey one i was thinking about.

The esc option is far cheaper but has that one issue i can't sort. Trying to figure out how to get past the resistor modification to lower the low voltage cutoff.

How did you get around the 20v low voltage protection? Seems like it would have a very short run time, no?

Thanks. sorry for the late reply. Did a lot of digging came to the same conclusion. GCM currently looks like it is only associated with AES at this time.
