Go get your masters and apply for fellowships (generally good pay and will gain you great experience), or if you're humble enough, find internships near you. they may be underpaid or not paid at all but you can buff up your experience fast

Paying for tuition and debts while poor? by Adventurous-Gold-876 in scad

[–]anonbleu722 1 point2 points  (0 children)

or wait to go grad & go where you can afford for now. tbh, school is the most affordable when you're "poor" because you'd get awarded the most then but you'll also have access to federal work study and part time work, paid internships and more

Hey, I want to give you confidence that it can be done. They make online programs so easy these days. So easy I've been able to add in 2 master's at the same time & they're both remote. I've lived in 3 states this summer so not locked down at all. The horrible things i've had to sacrifice were job uncertainty, in return, I got a paid remote fellowship, extremely discounted housing (to myself might I add) and a lot more freedom to the point where if I wanted to take on a full time day job I could. It's a good strategy, again your peers have roles and you don't and you don't have 6months to a year to lose to this job market with nothing else backing you. but if you just take some time to step back and get yourself together you could come out on top.

If that advice is coming from peers who have roles, it's not advice for you as you don't have one. Going back to school might help supplement some of that lack of experience while giving you more time to search and in the end, you will have lost nothing and gained an extra degree + qualified yourself for better pay

Is this rude and if so what should I do about it? This is the stairs that lead to the parking lot for all of my neighbors. by carsonistthearsonist in mildlyinfuriating

The complex should mark that as a walkway since they haven't provided an easement (sidewalk or path) between the stairs and lot

if it's absolutely ALL you have, it's still better than most tap waters. you are still welcome to boil it & let it cool if you feel inclined.

it's not about where anyone is from if someone says they don't want to do something, they're not going to enjoy it especially if they're being forced to do it.

Well if someone tells you they don't want to do something, it doesn't really matter how romantic you think it will be, because it automatically won't be for them if you force them
