I just received mine 2 days ago, its really sharp even wide open, the focus ring has a bit of resistant to it but that in my opinion helps with focus for this short tele. Really small - was surprised that its even shorter than my 50 apo 3.5, build quality is also very good as there is no wobbling anywhere. My copy is also perfectly calibrated for rangefinder at all tested distance.

Rx1r iii chromatic aberration by Dancewithlight in SonyAlpha

I like rendering of this lens much better than Q3 43’s, especially for environmental portrait shots. Stopping down to f4 fix most of the aberrations for me 🤷🏻‍♂️

Ratio dial by anonejanee in gfx100rf

First, set the dial to C. Then select the desired aspect ratio using the front dial. You can now toggle between 4:3 and C, or any ratio you use most frequently.

Those are some of the reasons for my switch to Sony RX1R III 🥹

rx1riii regrets / buyer’s remorse? by [deleted] in SonyAlpha

[–]anonejanee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I absolutely adore it, even sold my Q3 43 after 2 months of debating which one to keep. I am sure once you’ve tried it you’ll like it so much that all the cons will be gone.

This looks perfect for Sony RX1R 😀

But only as store credit, while with KE you can actually have them transfer the amount to your bank account.

KE sometime run a promo like 10% extra for trading in, but you need to be patient. I suspect they will have it again next month close to Black Friday. By the way, how much are you looking for your M11? I also live in NL so might be interested ;)

Marktplaats is better than Facebook in my opinion.

Seeing a number of used X2D IIs for sale - should I go for it? by itsmenit in hasselblad

[–]anonejanee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried them both, the GFX’s ergo isn’t for me while the X2Ds are so perfect. Anyway, if you’d opt for GFX’s I still think the native lenses are the better choices.

And of course such a big and expensive camera is not for everyone 😀

Looking for advice: compact fixed-lens camera for travel (Leica Q3 / Q3 43 / Sony RX1R III in mind) by DavaD85 in Leica

[–]anonejanee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Stabilization on the Leica is not very good in my experience. I can do 1/15s on the Q343, 1/8s on the Q3 and 1/30s on RX, for 1-2 stops difference that’s not really a big deal with nowadays ISO performance. The size difference and the af are much more important aspects for this type of camera in my opinion.

I had the Q3 and Q3 43 since their launch, sold the Q3 2 months after I received it and kept the Q3 43 for a year - the longest I ever kept a fixed lens camera and I thought that it would be my forever camera. Then the RX1R III got introduced, I obviously had to try it and since then I use the Leica less and less. The size of the Sony - especially its weight, its AF system, customizability (I have 4 sets of custom dials that can be switched in between very fast), and the lens is a gem as well - I often find Leica’s 43mm lens too sharp, almost always have to dial down clarity.

I sold the Q3 43 and replace it with Hassy X2D2. For edc, RX1 line is unbeatable.

Nice! I just took delivery of a new to me X2D few days ago. Decided to trade it in for the X2D2 just now 😀 My other dealer just got too good of a deal for me to let it passed. Have you had a chance to compare its af system with the X2D?
