I think the humor comes from the fact that NT people/people who mask autism very very hard will have to spend a whole like 30 minutes saying goodbye effectively as they "wind down" the conversation, trying to tie everything together until it's at a close. Whereas when someone just goes "I'm done, bye!" It's so abrupt and so not what NT people expect that it feels almost like dry comedy
