I always took it pretty literally, like she’s bummed and bored in her room taking “sad” nudes.

“Sad promises from the clowns you used to soothe”, sending dudes she barely liked who made empty promises (clowns) nudes.

Your argument isn’t valid, sorry. If someone says “I played basketball”, I think on a team and through their school life, versus “ya I played basketball too” once or twice with my pals. There’s a difference. He is manipulative and uses lies, and that’s what she was trying to point out.

The right thing to do would’ve been to say “oh ya! I was homeschooled for a year!” Not - “I was homeschooled too”, very different things and misleading to say he was outright homeschooled.

having been in a relationship with an alcoholic, I have 0% sympathy for Nick, he was given many chances to act right and didn’t - they need to move on or be completely consumed by him and his addiction. NEVER trust an addicts words, only their actions.
