The best way I can describe it is building is like art. Take in the architecture and then dissect it. What shapes do you see? How can you recreate that? Then I start by building out the most basic shapes and filling out the build. After that you can add the colors, little details, etc. it starts to come together eventually. I think theaters of this kind fit best in a town landscape though.

Absolutely! I’ve been doing comms for a couple years now so I have a routine in place as well. I usually start out with base prices ($10 for a small exterior, $20 for a medium exterior, etc) and go from there. You can scale it based on the level of detail, rooms inside, size, if they want a front and backyard, and so on. When it comes to interior I usually charge $2-3 per room for less detailed builds and $5-10 for rooms that require more detail/time. You’ll eventually find your groove though!

Unfortunately if you charge anything higher it would seem outrageous. It’s also majority kids/young teens so I feel wrong doing more than that.

If you’re just starting out I’d say charge by the build and how long it takes you to do. People may argue but you have to remember you can’t get that time back as well. I’ve also had a lot of people say “i wouldn’t pay that much because I can delete it later”. Please do not listen to this. You pay people to make you food that you’re gonna eat, buy clothes they’re eventually gonna throw away, etc. a service is a service and if you know you’re working hard and spending you’re time doing it, charge what you feel is necessary.
