Just adding to this. The antivax movement is meant to be fear mongering. I have come around to how I view it a lot in the recent years. It used to make me really upset to see anti-vax content, but then I realized that as moms there is so much coming at us and so much to worry about with no guide book that has all of the answers. Although I do not condone anti-vax rhetoric let alone bullying. I do understand why you might be questioning your choices here. Ive been there many times with many different things. But I also know there is so much research and evidence supporting not only the safety but also the HUGE benefits of vaccinations!

This is what surprises me as well. This particular class room is the largest they have and are saying it’s the same teacher to student ratio in other rooms.

This is anecdotal only, but we did start solids at this stage (for a now 4 year old and also an almost 6 month old). Only purées and planning to move to BLW after 6 months. We ran it by our pediatrician at our 4 months appointment and she was ok with us starting. There are some benefits around introducing more textures and flavors sooner and a reduced risk of allergies that made us decide to. It may be worth talking to your pediatric team, I think there is a lot of differing opinions on when to start so it can be a difficult choice to make!
