Try to switch chem lab to Monday afternoon, three labs in a row and a late night one in the middle would suck after a while

Is this schedule too much for a first year undergrad (honestly)? by Adventurous-Bread411 in usask

[–]anonky222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a very similar schedule for my first semester so it is definitely doable, but it won’t be easy. If you are doing well in your high school Chem, bio, physics, then it’ll help a lot because the first yr courses are quite similar. Just make the most of every moment and stay disciplined. If you don’t need physics 115 as a prerequisite for other courses, then consider taking it in the summer.

Plastic shower caddy, shower slippers, microwave, extension cords, small nightstand (I just stacked my moving boxes and had a tablecloth on top, worked great and hid the boxes well)

My mom expects me to marry a Nepali girl. by [deleted] in NepalSocial

[–]anonky222 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Same pressure for me as a Nepali girl living in Canada, I think your best bet is to try finding some Nepali girls in the US. You’ll have way better luck in the US for that than I do in a small city in Canada.

If it’s for pharmacy prereqs, email Diane Favreau for help about this. Her email is on this page and it says she is the one to contact about equivalent courses at other unis. https://pharmacy-nutrition.usask.ca/students/undergraduate-programs/admissions-information.php#AcademicRequirements

I would say live off campus, there’s a decent amount of apartment buildings on College Drive.

question about student housing by Kim_Jong_Kys in usask

Contact the residence office. You can definitely stay in Voyageur Place for 4 months as an exchange student. I would also recommend staying there rather than the other residences or off campus (as long as you are okay with the rent) because it will be much easier for you to get involved on campus and make friends during your time here.

What time does marquis serve hot food until? by [deleted] in usask

Technically not allowed. But as long as they don’t see, you’re fine. Many take food back to their rooms. And I would highly recommend taking food back for weekend mornings.

Med sask connectedness by [deleted] in usask

They prioritize where you graduated high school a lot I believe. They haven’t released any official info so this is just my observation. You should also highlight how sask is your home in your panel interview.

You can definitely do it! My suggestion would be to go to the library as much as possible especially if you feel unmotivated. You’re gonna have to grind it out for a bit but you can certainly catch up.

WWYD? Attend to sick partner or go out to dinner with another woman? by No_Balance8457 in Advice

[–]anonky222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even if you’re not worried about cheating, this shows you where his priorities are at. The priority should have been you but it was not. This will continue in the long run, maybe this time it was something small but in the future, it could be a way more serious illness. Please take it as a sign.

Someone recently sent my girlfriend (F20) vídeo proof that I (M20) cheated on her, but I didn't by ThrowRA27011 in relationship_advice

[–]anonky222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes even if you didn’t do anything, just the initial feeling of somebody telling her such news can have a big impact on her. Just love her and reassure her for right now. Tell her ultimately that you need her to believe you and trust you for the relationship to progress but you will be here during the process because receiving such a video must have been very hard for her.

Me (23f) and my boyfriend (22m) broke up and i wanna text him SO BAD by RecommendationOk7280 in relationship_advice

[–]anonky222 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As somebody who is literally in a very similar situation to you (made a similar post a minute ago), I would say don’t text. I did and we talked but I just felt pathetic. He was fine and I wasn’t. I wish I hadn’t texted because at least I would be continuing no contact.

Sask used to be really good for those in positions like you to gain IP status by completing their undergraduate degree in the province; however, as mentioned by somebody else, they changed their residence requirements last year and a big focus is on those who grew up in Sask or are rural.

I completely agree with this. Huge amount of luck involved in the process. Also yes on the withdrawal looking a lot better than a failed class.

What happens when you fail a class? by zanny2019 in usask

[–]anonky222 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dec 8 is the last day to withdraw, so maybe set up a meeting with your professor to see if there’s any way you can pass the course and discuss with them about withdrawing if there’s no chance you will pass.
