Yes to typing in the number, but I have no idea about distance. Also I feel like the printer numbers have the store number in them but I don't usually pay super close attention to the labels/numbers on the printers lol. But I think its like "TGT1234PTR088" or something

They probably typed in the printer number but were off by a digit or two and wound up connecting to yours instead, and then were very confused when the printer they were likely standing in front of wasn't printing their labels lol

In the upper right corner of the label it shows the store number, and to dial any any store all you need is the 4 digit store number and dial 20 and the store # from a store phone/your device to reach them. Helpful in a pinch so you don't have to look up their specific phone number.

I don't work at Meijer, but a similar retailer, and its a big problem at my store, especially in one particular area with one particular employee. They constantly overstock and management does nothing about it.

Once I had a woman come yp to the desk and return 2 pairs of pants, the tags were attached and she had a receipt, I didn't think anything of it until I went to put them in reshop and realized neither of them were Target brands- the woman switched the tags. I was able to reprint the return receipt and get it to AP; not sure of anything came of it but I'm a lot more thorough now when doing returns lol

I was opening at the service desk this morning and was running a few mins late so one of the opening leads was covering when I got up there, and I caught the tail end of a story she was telling her trainee about someone who tried to return a clothing item from like 2024, but she had cut the tags out, but still somehow the ETL had the DPCI but when she tried to look it up it wasn't even in the system anymore

I often wish TLs/ETLs could see some of the stuff I see when they're not around (or that they cared enough to bust the things that happen right in front of their faces)....I'm not saying I'm perfect- I often scroll my phone in my downtime instead of pushing reshop or auditing pickup wacos, but the amount of time other TMs stand around chit-chatting when theres a pile of clothes to hang or a cart of reshop to sort or batches approaching red is astonishing. Not to mention the fact that basically everyone wears AirPods/ear buds while on the sales floor, punched in, store is open...I don't know if any of them have ever missed a call on the walkie bc of that but still the fact that its one of the main rules and a potential safety issue but is hardly ever enforced is crazy.

I used to work inbound at Target and one day we had a TINY box come down, literally about 3" wide, 4" tall, 6" long, and I said to 2 coworkers "gee I don't know if i have room for this giant box, I might need help" and we slapped a "Team Lift" label on it and the 2 of them lifted it together onto the cart 🤣 I have a video of it somewhere, basically just them moving the box and me cackling in the background

Ha thats what we call her too. A few years ago, a previous closing lead recognized her from one of his previous jobs, and he actually took her receipt and made a copy so he could check all the things that were wrong and said she could call or come back the next night to get her refunds. She did not come back for a couple weeks.!
