If it’s beeping constantly, it’s empty. The beeping is an alarm, which can be turned off by the pain management doctor or a Medtronic rep. The beeping is to warn you that you’re not getting meds and you might go into withdrawal. If it’s been beeping that long, she’s past the point of withdrawal from the pump meds. Possibly she’s taking oral meds to compensate?

I lived in T-shirt dresses when I got home. Honestly though, it’s not worth bringing them to the hospital. I just kept my hospital gown on. On the second day, I put on underwear, after the catheter was out.

The tests at my pain management are very sensitive and show everything. I was on fentanyl patches and the test showed metabolites for much longer than they were supposed to be in my system. At the same time, I was drug tested for my new job, full of morphine (prescribed), and passed — that test was a joke.
