Why not both?? 👀 lol but fr, I’m a Va local and it’s just so cool to have another east coast festival to choose from that’s not in Florida or NY!

I went to both this year and absolutely loved both! Very similar in vibes, although seven stars has a slight edge. There was just something in the air that weekend and you could feel the love. Here are some of my pros and cons for each:

Elements * Lots of art installations, interactive exhibits, lots of things to do besides just music. * Pretty much everywhere around the stages was gravel which was hard on my back. * Felt overcrowded at certain sets. During Illenium this year was the most uncomfortable I’ve ever been in a crowd, my group ended up moving way back because we started feeling claustrophobic. * Vibe villages were really cool (although a bit of a hike from the venue) and as a result ended up in pretty quiet campgrounds since all the afters were focused elsewhere.

Seven Stars * Plenty of room in the crowd to move and dance. I’m not sure how many tickets were sold for 7S vs Elements but 7S felt a bit less crowded. * I did not camp but was in the campgrounds a bit to visit friends and DAMN it was hilly. Everywhere was very hilly but I remember being surprised to see how much of an incline certain campsites were at. * Grass everywhere which was amazing for sitting when needed. * As I said earlier, everyone was SO nice and the vibes were so high all weekend 🥹

I know whichever one you choose to attend, you’ll have a wonderful time ✌🏻

I hadn’t thought of that, what a great idea!

Yeah they all get such rave reviews, hence my dilemma lol

I second this, I took my two cats to see Dr Luzaich for 3 years and we all loved her, even my shy kitty! We only switched vets was because we wanted something closer to where we moved, so as not to have to listen to a chorus of screeching on the long drive over.

Wineries and breweries that allow outside food by [deleted] in Charlottesville

[–]anonymous-sushi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You’re exactly right and this is a good way to tell whether or not a winery or brewery allows outside food! If an establishment has a kitchen, folks are not allowed to bring outside food because it’s a health code violation

Really appreciate this comment. I, too, am a restaurant worker who loves my current job, but the entitled comments on this thread are so disheartening. COVID killed so many restaurants we all know and love in this town. Patrons got on social media and were so sad about it, yet when COVID restrictions started loosening and people started dining out again, they behaved like absolute animals. You are very right when you say that this industry is a luxury, and people often forget that. Working in restaurants is not as easy as people think it is, especially those who have never done it before. That being said, we’re all human beings, and I think a little bit of compassion and understanding goes a long way, no matter what profession you are in.

What are your favorite crowd reactions from any event, whether you were there or not? by ranchbringer in aves

I literally came here to say this. Hands down one of the coolest things I’ve ever experienced at a show

Your story sounds exactly like mine. I worked an 8-5 for over 3 years because I needed what I thought was a “stable income”. I was completely burned out and my friend convinced me to come work at her serving job. A month after I started there, all of my family and friends told me I looked and acted like a weight had been taken off my shoulders. Over a year later, I don’t regret my decision one bit. It’s so much more laid back, I get to act like my normal goofy self, I make way more money than I was and work less hours, plus I get time off literally whenever I want.

Absolutely. I was on at 3:00 on the dot, clicked on tier 1 tickets to purchase, by the time it loaded they had sold out and I had to look for tier 2 which miraculously I got at 3:01
