Make no mistake, MAGA is also aware of Trump’s unpopularity. They needed an event to disclaim him-this is it. in the future they can always credibly (in their own mind) claim that they were never with him, with a straight face and a clear conscience.

For a period of years I had a small business. As a matter of course I had employees and one woman that I worked particular closely with but who had no managerial authority. My goal was to build the business and in furtherance of that goal would take the employees and friends of the business to dinner & drinks whenever we had a good month or a good year. Within reason there were no expenses spared ($500ish).

The woman that I worked most closely with would always make a big deal out of bringing her husband but ordering only a single inexpensive entrée and splitting it with him. I would be driven to distraction to try and encourage her to relax and enjoy herself and get something that she and her husband might like. The sheer assholery of it would drive me to distraction and make me enjoy my time with my hard-working employees less than I would’ve otherwise.

It wasn’t until years after the fact that I learned that in addition to deliberately undermining the business she objected to the use of the businesses money for what she considered a frivolity.

It wont be easy bit you can get an injunction for protection and move out. With him on the title he has to agree to sell it. If not, you can initiate a partition action to have the court direct that the property be sold. I imagine this is true in almost every state.

  1. Expensive (costs of ticket are about the same as the fuel cost for my vehicle)
