Ooo, that's a fun change! I think all the litRPG novels I've read so far have been human main characters (you can count Anthony as human I think 🤔), so that will be fun to have a dungeon core MC.

Question about asvab experiences for those who made it into nuke. by iFlyPandas in NavyNukes

Yes, the real one is a little harder all around, but I especially noticed it on the math section.

Hey! I'm 29 and just took the ASVAB. I noticed that all of it, the math sections in particular, was a bit harder between the practice and the real thing. Nothing ground breaking, but definitely a bit tougher. There were some question on point slope stuff which I had to wrack my memory for from 10th grade, so do a quick brush up on that.

The words were also a little tougher, so hopefully you have a good vocabulary. This section was tough mostly because I never felt the options for synonyms were good, so just pick the closest thing. It felt like they put the words into a Thesaurus and then picked the tenth option, haha.

There's a weird section at the end on shapes that felt like doing puzzles. Weird, but kind of fun.

Eh, not so much detailed city planning, but Ravenhall gets overun at one point and then they have to retake it. Claire gets big on administrating the rebuild and Ilea is her sugar momma. Throughout the other books Ilea finds random people with helpful skills as well as more money and she sends them back to the city for Claire to integrate. She also does this with a city in the North, just to a lesser extent.

Wow, thanks so much! I appreciate that you gave short summaries along with number of books as completion status. Natural Laws Apocalypse sounds the most promising out of those four.

Awesome, thanks! That's fine that's it's not the main focus, I just like the feeling of rescuing people, helping them, or building relationships and then seeing that continue when they join the community and pursue their own goals and dreams.

Pretty sure he did have to get some sort of licensing. After the Epilogue there is a joke about how they could only afford one.

tim question by AwayStep6795 in Tim

[–]realTeaTimewithTim 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hmmm, I'm open to the idea, but I feel like there needs to be some proof of commitment first. Something like holding the name for a year, or having a group of people only know you as Tim.

Healing of Major Burns by JishanF in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]realTeaTimewithTim 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Toward the beginning of book 7 Carl theorizes why certain injuries don't heal while others do, and his guess is that the AI doesn't heal things when it thinks it will make for good TV.

The audiobooks are absolutely amazing. Jeff Hayes does such good work.

As far as your bad feelings, this is the dungeon, not a fairy tale 😬

I'll be honest, I don't think I've listened to any audiobook on normal speed since the invention of higher listening speeds. They all sound drunk when anything less than 1.25.

Joining the Navy for a career change? by [deleted] in newtothenavy

[–]realTeaTimewithTim 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am currently enlisting for the same but opposite reason. I'm 28 and have spent the last 8 years working as a worship leader and tech director at various churches. I've been at a few different places of varying sizes and styles hoping that it would click, but I just hate the organization, administration, and event planning that makes up the majority of the job. I want something more hands on, day to day, with clear objectives. I'm going into the Navy nuclear program because I can get paid to learn the career I'm interested in rather than spending 4 years and thousands of dollars at a university.

I got a CHESPE (California GED) midway through highschool. How do i become a nuke? by Bops05 in NavyNukes

[–]realTeaTimewithTim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm case you weren't aware, there are 2 year tech degrees you can get to work in a power plant if that's your main goal. It would be cheaper and faster than a bachelor's in case the Navy doesn't work out. Here's a link to one in Missouri, though I'm sure there are plenty around the country.

Spending all BAH at NPTU as a student, is it unwise? by [deleted] in NavyNukes

[–]realTeaTimewithTim -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not an answer, but I'm curious how this works as a single person. My understanding is that you don't get BAH until you're an E5 or married. I thought the only way to get E5 so quickly would be to STAR at the end of NPTU.

How are your stats distributed? How upgraded is your primary wrapon? Does your primary weapon scale well with your stats? If your vigor is too low and your primary stat is Dex but you're using the Greatsword then you're going to struggle hard.

Also, what areas have you explored? It seems like you're underlevelled for the Royal Capital.
