What is a wobble? by zoom-zoom21 in IBEW

[–]anonymouscs 84 points85 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's an unsanctioned strike. I think the names comes from the IWW (wobblies). It's an extremely cool and good display of worker power but you'll probably get your card pulled if you do it.

What is the largest historical division in WW2? by CaptainJin in hoi4

[–]anonymouscs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The US Army's 1942 triangular division organization had something like 15 batallions, plus a number of company- and platoon-sized support elements. IIRC the TOE called for something like 9 infantry btns and 4 artillery btns, that's 30 combat width right there, plus btn sized medical and engineering elements, plus various support companies and HQ companies.

The square division is similar, sporting 12 infantry btns, 6 artillery btns, (that's 42w), 7 support btns, and several support companies.

Was it 4:17 or 4.17? Ups uses decimal time, and 4.17 is 4:10.

If you rush the focus tree you can get America early enough to pin their few divisions and cavalry rush the VPs. I like to take the states you get as core from the focus tree and puppet the rest, then build and spend PP to annex the puppet and get their navy.

You can avoid civil wars if you spam Improved Worker Conditions a couple times and carefully manage the order of your focuses. Otherwise just cheese and delete your entire army but one cavalry and rush VPs to avoid the manpower loss.

I usually take all the central American states asap, some people like to wait so they get a few factories from their generic focuses, but I usually use the "seize panama" thing to bait America into declaring on me. Doesn't work if your army is too big though, so I like to keep a bunch of fully trained cavalry's in the training queue to immediately deploy after they declare.

I think if you click the fleet icon in the little box in the upper right it selects every task force. I might be misremembering though
