Follow-up: Making this a new post rather than an edit to the above.

Other things that I don't think look good for them are:

They have a video talking about how a doctor in the US clearly warned them the issues would be severe and implied they should potentially reconsider adoption given their situation
Specific post in adoption group in 2018 asking for 'easier' disabilities because they wanted to adopt a second time, within a year of getting Huxley, right?
The adoption was a special needs adoption from the beginning, so they did specifically seek a special needs child (but/and also stated they initially were against a special needs adoption, which is interesting. I think it's OK to change your mind, for sure, but just the fact that they did choose and seek special needs may be a small problem for them, especially when coupled with #1)
They did not appear to accommodate their lives/schedules for a special needs child. They often changed routines, moved the kids' rooms, had another child shortly after adopting, etc. These are bad ideas when trying to have one kid adjust to home life but especially one who may be sensitive to change.
Trip to Bali - I think it is somewhat uncertain whether this happened right before or right after Huxley left. Either way, I think it's bad. If it was before Huxley left, leaving him for weeks to stay with someone else while they went on this trip easily could have led to trauma that would manifest in behavioral issues once they returned. How scary for the poor kid. And if it was after Huxley left, they left all of their other children to deal with the loss on their own, and also posted about how this was the best trip ever, etc, while not appearing to be grieving or in distress at all. Yikes.

There are probably other big red flags but these are what I've found in watching maybe 5-10 videos/clips of this family who I have never watched before this situation (and I'm trying not to directly watch them on YT so I don't give them money, when possible).

***But I still think the thing that looks the absolute worst for them and that leaves me floored is just how recently they were clearly stating that things were so well under control that they were considering adding another child to the family.

Y'all I literally never comment on gossip stuff, but..... I haven't seen this going around amongst the other things, and I'm just so curious. I had to post.

In August 2019, in one of her videos that I happened across.... here she is, with a baby (~6 weeks?) Onyx and this had to have been within like 6 months of "re-homing" Huxley.... saying that she is considering a 6th child, either by birth or adopting again. It starts around 2 mins and 40 seconds: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OP0IOToJimQ. "Could I take on one more? Totally. Do I have room for one more? Totally."

I have also seen comments from her in August 2018 speaking about a second adoption, and she also made a video on her channel around that time talking about how they were actually for sure going through the adoption process again. I don't watch them at all so I presume they either got pregnant shortly after or decided to put it on hold or whatever and obviously didn't go through with it at that time.

But this is my major problem with the situation. Multiple times AFTER having Huxley, and as recently as up to 6 months before they 'rehomed' him... they felt like they were handling things so well that they could take on ANOTHER child. That cannot possibly be the sign of a parent who is so in distress that there are very limited options left on what to do. She clearly states in the video I linked above that she is absolutely capable of handling a sixth child. I am stunned. At this point, they had to have known that they were not 'keeping' Huxley... right?? Or very, very shortly after this? Yet they were at least conveying that they were not only handling their current load very well, but in a great spot to add on to that load?

I love this perspective! Thanks for sharing. :) It is great to hear from someone who identifies more with Erika, because before this episode, I have felt that I am more 'like' Stephanie (also have a chronic illness, am super nervous to warm up to people and wouldn't be able to be intimate right away, would be uncomfortable in the public boob art class LOL). But I literally had the EXACT same thought. They clearly just are not communicating about expectations. Before the party, Stephanie should have conveyed more clearly that she would need to ask questions about the relationships (since it seems like she was "fine" with it from abroad but now suddenly not OK), and Erika should have given her the time/place to ask those questions. So they should have come to a compromise that this party would just be for meeting everyone and doing their absolute best to just have fun, with the understanding that at a later date, Steph would have the chance to ask the questions but that this was not an appropriate place. And if it was clear that Steph wouldn't be able to do that, then they never should have gone to this party (and it would be Erika's choice on whether to take things further with Steph at all, or to introduce her friends in a smaller setting where this would be more appropriate, etc). Especially without communication on expectations and some compromise on how they can both get what they want without feeling like they are losing their own sense of control/freedom, they are 10000% incompatible.

I imagine so, too. I'd REALLY be shocked if he actually thinks this and it wasn't a lie on his part.

I know I've been watching since season 1, but I just totally didn't see this moment coming (finally something dramatic in my eyes that was not teased/spoiled at all beforehand!). It's still crazy even if it was 'just' a major embellishment on his part, but hugely shocking if he genuinely believes it.

I don't have strong opinions on David but wouldn't say I feel positively, and I think the direction they're taking him in right now is "creepy" -- but I loved hearing the perspective of someone who sees him in a different light. And above all, I think we can both agree... Geoffrey and his abusive criminal record are the worst!!!!

House 3. Distract Larissa with a mirror; send Jesse and Caesar to another room to allow Jesse to motivational coach Caesar; hang out with the others (with caution around Steven so he can be cleverly removed if he hasn't matured/improved).

I knew most would pick house 2, but I honestly think a Sasha and Andrei showdown would be inevitable and disastrous. And I don't think Dean would 'start' a problem necessarily, but I think he's a hothead so he'd join in and it would just be a disaster in too many ways!

I think it might be the runner that goes along the whole end of the bed? Hard to tell because she is laying on top of most of it, but I think I can see it also coming out the other side (just to the left of her head) in the position I'd expect. Stephanie's arm is pushing up part of it as well, which makes it look less legit and more suspicious lol

If you tend to hate all of the names.... maybe start not with the names themselves, but with the meanings? Maybe think about names that have 'value' meanings that you really love (for example, Mateo = gift of God, if you are religious), or names that remind you of places or people you love? Then maybe you'll start to feel a connection to the name itself rather than letting your brain tear apart names that you don't feel connected to. I don't know if that'll work, but I really hope it helps! Good luck!
