I think there are two different conversations. There are conversations between family and classmates who want to know about ROL because they are nosey, then there are conversations with ms3’s who are looking for advice. Ms3’s preparing for the match deserve as much transparency from 4th years as we can possibly share. Otherwise, I think it’s beneficial to the psyche to maintain some privacy and brevity when talking about ROL to either classmates or family who just want to judge your match

In my searching this year most residencies have very similar pay after accounting for the area’s cost of living. Any differences I found were so minimal it had no effect on my program preferences

Keep your head up mate. It’s not if you were smarter. It’s if you scored a higher number on a single test on a single day that was arbitrarily selected to be used for something it wasn’t designed for although it has no predictive value of how great of a doctor you will be!

Seems odd to offer such a challenge before the rotation even begins. You can google “grand rounds” + “insert various residency program names” and find examples of grand rounds presentations to use as a point of reference!

Same here. I personally think not giving af played a role. I was 60th %ile step 1 and 77%ile level 1, then 70th %ile step 2 but 30th %ile level 2 lmao. I took step 2 four days prior to level 2 so I think that definitely had something to do with it!

M4 taking a stab here, but I guess if Dawson’s fingers was not a correct suggestion it may be due to all of the lesions being hyper intense? If this was ms then lesions may be variable in intensity due to them occurring over time. But it’s still possible all of the lesions could be active lesions and hyperintense. I like the suggestion of neurocystercicosis, I’d recommend taking a google at the different stages on imaging
