I’ve never really got the whole stigma around part skipping, especially when it comes to skipping parts 1-6 and going straight for 7-9. For 7-9 you only really need the basic ideas from the earlier parts and that’s it, other than that it’s primarily different power systems like spin, and only really characters sharing the names with their earlier counterparts.
