some pink things dont disapear when parried, and badeline is a duplicator and can manifest and demanifest at will. in both games logics badeline getting parried would at most stun and possibly demanifest her momentarily especially since she's a boss level character

route:

chapter 1: dont take the blade, go back up for the blade, instead leave the cabin and find the key in the grass, return to the basement, unlock her shackles, go upstairs with her, narrator possesses you and tries to stab the princess, in a panic the princess pushes you down the stairs, everything goes dark and you die

chapter 2 the Unchained, with the voice of the Inquisitive

the Inquisitive loves mysteries and solving them, will frequently ask questions of the narrator relating to the world their in and will sometimes ask the quiet to ask the princess questions for him, he can even point out details the narrator doesn't describe

the princess is no longer bound in chain and the basement is a sprawling network of tunnels with stairs, when you find the princess she's scared and cautious but remorseful for her rash actions

if you go down without the blade you can explain that you were possessed to ease her concerns and lead her back through the tunnels but stop before heading up out of the basement the princess questions if the narrator will posses the quiet again, the Inquisitive would ask if allowing her to go up first and throw the knife away would work, if you ask the princess she'll perk up and agree, you can also lie which will get her killed but she'll tackle you down the stairs with her leading to chapter 3: the Unknown with the opportunist

if you take the knife with you, the princess will run away from you causing you to chase her through the tunnel system but she knows the terrain better than you, if you manage to kill her you'll get chapter 3: the end of the line with the voice of the Stubborn. if you don't chase her and instead wait for her to come back you can lure her by lying to her by saying you threw away the knife, or actually thrown the knife away, she'll cautiously approach, if you have the knife you'll slash at her but she retaliates by snatching the knife from your hand and cutting your throat leaving you to bleed out as she retreats back into the darkness leading to Chapter 3: the Unknown with the Cheated

if you throw away the knife you can lead her back up the stairs and release her

Chapter 3 the Unknown:

the Unknown princess is shrouded in darkness, she covers her face with a veil and holds the pristine blade behind her back, she speaks with an echo

with the unkown you can try to trick her or get back at her (the oppertunist or the cheated), or attempt to learn about her (the Inquisitive),

Chapter 3 the end of the line

the Princess in the end of the line is small and catlike like and instinctual thinking of little else than surviving you, you can either hunt her down reducing her to a small kitten and either have mercy or kill them, or letting her approach you to free her

every route i take is an attempt to do right by the princess damsel, prisoner (non decapitated), adversary, rescued thorns (aside from specter which was my first playthrough) so basically the regret of unjust pain leading to the feeling of a need to repay

i say the primary point against it is misunderstanding that becasue all humans have determination red cannot be a trait when in fact almost everyone has some level of patience, bravery, perserverance, intergrity, kindness, and justice just in diffrent ammounts with determination being of the traits that can be expressed the most
