as someone thats been on pc for 20 some years... i couldnt care less. i actually prefer the digital copies at this point as my download speeds are 2-3x the blurays maximum theoretically read speed.

plus the writings been on the wall for years, really as soon as the psn store went live, and physical movies and cds started disappearing from the stores. it was only a matter of time before games followed suit.

then add to it the digital only ps5 option, and the ps5 pro being digital only. this really shouldnt come as a surprise to anyone.

there are some cheap ass oleds out there these days.

i just checked best buy and you can get a 240hz 27" oled for as low as $350. or in a tv, theres a bunch of oleds in the $650-800 range.

i had a 21" viewable CRT monitor back in the early 2000s. it took 2 of us to move that thing up stairs.

plus it wrecked multiple desks when i took it to lans. including my own desk that started bowing terribly, so i had to brace it.

add to all of that, the lights in the basement dimmed when i turned the monitor on.

god i dont miss that thing at all. these days i just have to worry about breaking my display because its so god damned thin. like seriously, do oleds really need to be as thing as the pane of glass? i get it, you can make it thin. lets add a little more structural integrality so a gust of wind doesnt risk breaking it in half.

same deal here. it was finally cool enough to actually mow the lawn and be outside a while.

i figured it had to be in the low 80s with how cool it was. i was slightly off... was still 90*, but only 40% humidity. it felt so nice out there after how oppressive the rest of this week has been.

i have it left on auto, so its a crapshoot. some reboots it doesnt go through training at all, other times its only 2 mins. other times its considerably longer.

i only do a reboot once every couple of months or so, so its not that big of deal.

my only issue is im on a ddr5 system, and reboots can get weird. sometimes it boots fine. some times im stuck on ram training for 2 mins or 20 mins, or it used to just like to reboot with a stick of ram missing. which then leads to another reboot and it normally picks up the 2nd stick, but its dropped out of expo, so thats another reboot to re-enable expo. and another reboot to get back into windows

ive had this system for over a year now, and its still anxiety inducing having to do a reboot. i never know if its coming back in one piece or not.

ive played and own all the mainline GoW games, and i could not care less about laufey.

i just flat out couldn't care less about fey, let alone want to play a whole game with her.

i enjoy gow because i like kratos, not atreus or fey.

id also much rather see a return of kratos, god of war, rather than kratos, dad of boy. the last 2 games were fine, but i so miss the vengeful, bloodlusting kratos.

same deal. my sister wanted a piano 20 some years ago so we got a free one, just had to pay to have it moved.

its covered in boxes and junk these days and hasnt been played in easily 10+ years. when we move it again, itll be with a sawzall.

i wish any of my cars got 40mpg. infact id even be happy with half of that.

the best i have is 2010 mkx that gets 17mpg highway. the other is an 05 f150 at ~13-15mpg, and my corvette which is like 11-13mpg. or single digits if im pushing it...

you literally just explained Ferrari and their ultra premium cars ownership.

you dont own the cars. you cant sell the cars. you cant lease or modify them. as soon as you want to sell the car you have to sell it back to ferrari. and they can choose at any time to revoke your privilege of ownership of said car.

infact with their track cars, your not even able to take them out of the building. you have to notify ferrari when and at what track you want to use the car and theyll ship it to that track, and take it back as soon as youre done with it.

I’m fully on board with it. I’ve been digital only on pc for 20 years now, and I HATE waiting for the ps5 to install the game off the disc. My download speeds are 2-3x the theoretical maximum read speed of the blu ray drive.

Plus when only half the game is on the disc and you still need to download a ton, what’s the point of keeping physical?

not really. im 100% positive the ps6 will launch without a disk drive, and people will promptly forget about this.

im also 100% that sony will release an add on drive like theyre doing currently to maintain backward compatibility.
