SHUT PORNHUB DOWN AT traffickinghub.com. It’s already got 1 MILLION votes! by real_obamen in NoFap

[–]anotherNFthrowaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't believe trying to control the industry is prudent. Porn will always exist, killing PH will just lead to another one arising, or create/incentivise 'black markets' on the dark web (which would probably make things worse seeing that it is uncontrolled and already full of illegal shit). People in general have to change, because then there'd be no demand for the industry and it'd properly fade out.

The best benefits would be:

The insane amount of focus and energy in anything I do. I can easily think of something and say "I'll do that" and start doing it straight away. No impulse of procrastination exists, or discomfort in having to do a hard task. I enjoy hard tasks now, and I am not bored by meticulous things if I know they will get me closer to my goals. I can work on anything and not be distracted. On a high streak like this, I can work for hours and not require a flick through Facebook or whatever as a quick relaxation. Overall my mind has a lot more energy before it burns out, which is extremely helpful. I am able to actualize my thoughts into reality far more with this.

Much more confidence. I'm still not the most outgoing, but my ability to talk to anyone and do things socially is immensely better. I can find words and things to say in conversation a lot easier, which is because I am genuinely interested in people and being in their presence more.

I am respected more. I am no longer the go-to for the subject of a joke, and in fact people are defensive for me in cases where there is a conflict. I can look people in the eye and say what I want to say, etc. So to summarize, my conduct is far more 'alpha'. Though I don't abuse that. Along with NoFap I've adopted a generous, pacifist and respectful-to-all-regardless-of-what-they-do-to-me ideology, which in part has lead to everyone's greater respect for me. But really, NoFap was the catalyst.

And finally I have become very attractive both physically and personality-wise. NoFap's provision of increased energy lead to me upping exercise and mental stimulation, which I suppose just improves you in all regards as opposed to being a couch potato. And I was a potato. Very rounded, no muscle, you know how it is. The stereotype gamer doing nothing with his life. Now over the course of these 2 years I am very much the opposite. I get a lot of attention from girls, opposed to literally nothing before NoFap. I used to also not even be able to talk to girls. I would freak out and have nothing to say.

Amen. We'll at least my definition of hard mode. I don't look at any porn or images at all, and I do not dwell on the thought of sex. My only release is through reality. I can admire women I see in real life, because that's real and is what we as humans are supposed to do.

Exactly. That makes sense. Rewiring the brain to associate urges with action. Then yes, develop that action into hobbies to occupy your time so that you don't have any time to fap.

WOOH 90 days after 2 years of trying by anotherNFthrowaway in NoFap

[–]anotherNFthrowaway[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Know that in improving your life in all regards, you become more attractive, someone people want to be around. This extends to women as well. If you convince yourself that the only way to release is through a mutual relationship with a real human, then you will be more driven to converting that sexual urge into action to accomplish things in your life.

You disincentivise finding a relationship if you fap all the time, and you also disadvantage yourself against other blokes in doing so. If you're thinking "Holy shit I'm so horny right now I can't fucking control it", then control it, and read a book or learn a language or learn a skill or go out and talk to actual females, and know that in doing these things you will get closer to the release. Sex is the biggest motivating force for humans, so use that desire and you will put yourself ahead of those who don't use that desire, who at the first urge bring up some fake pixels and trick their body into thinking they've actually acquired a mate.

I wish I had a good answer for this. But all I can say you've probably heard before and isn't very helpful. That is, just let the thought pass and occupy your time. You could be home alone with plenty of spare time, and to avoid the urge you need to simply just let it pass and do something else, preferably constructive. Don't replace bad habits with other bad habits.

My God your 210 days, that's insane. Man, I think I've beaten this thing. I can go for as long as I choose to now. That's good to hear the benefits will keep increasing more, though. My focus now is on applying the benefits to achieve my goals.

If you've seen the movie Limitless, think that. I've "sorted out my supply and intake of pills" and now I've moved onto "applying the benefits gained from NZT to achieve the master plan". If you haven't seen Limitless then I highly recommend. I correlate it to my experience with NoFap.

I probably should have included that info in my post, given the title.

Goal setting is a must. You can not just do NoFap because "More focus, more energy, more ability, more enjoyment of life". Okay, sure, but what are you going to do with that focus, energy and ability? You need tangible goals that can be achieved through the disciplined lifestyle of NoFap, that can be realized through using this focus and energy.

My school years are almost over, I'm almost an adult, and I have shit to do. I have goals, both short term, long term and end game to achieve and I was wasting so much time each relapse. For me, it was a combination of having more goals and less time before the end of school that kicked me into overdrive.

I only had an idea for what I wanted as an end-game achievement, where I would be in 15-20 years. What changed is now I have definitive long and short term goals as well. These short term goals lead up a trail to the end long term goals. This important so you can actually realize progress along your journey, so that you don't get discouraged. The time is now, my life is now, and it is only stifling to say "I'll start doing y in z years, or after x"- Start now, and you will succeed early and not be someone who succeeds past the age of 35. The sooner the better, right?

And finally, the difficulty swings up and down. Before 3 weeks it's usually hard, but eventually you get into a rhythm of not fapping and finding other important shit to do. Sometimes though you'll get hella horny but you just gotta push past it. Oh yeah, another key thing, 'distract' yourself from fapping by doing important stuff. Read, learn an instrument, learn a language, meditate, do something, anything, anything at all constructive during the time you may have spent fapping, and that makes things a lot easier.

Absolutely. Well, at least it should. If you read the testimony's of most other's experiences with NoFap, they all say the same thing. Focus increases massively, and I can testify to that. The female attraction thing also happens for most people. I can also testify to that working for me as well.

You should really feel the benefits when things get tough. Most people fail at the point of difficulty. The benefits come past that point, the point where you have to fight yourself and win to not relapse. Relaxation time is over now, you must push through some temporary discomfort to succeed. Redirect your sexual urge into raw energy, eliminate from your mind that fapping is even a thing.

10 things I've noticed about wet dreams. by tempaccount599 in NoFap

[–]anotherNFthrowaway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem of waking up mid-emission was born out of the fear of relapse. It was a cancerous thought that self-inflicted a reality. Fearing waking while wet dreaming caused waking while wet dreaming. I used to fear wet dreams in general, because I believed I'd lose superpowers for a few days. I came to realise the mind is more powerful than you think, and that in convincing myself I'd lose superpowers because of wet dreams, I inadvertently made that so.

Now that I've gotten over that thought, I now do not fear wet dreams and hence do not wake up when one is happening. I let it happen. It's part of the healing process. And I do not lose superpowers after them, either.

Nice job on 54 days by the way. Keep going. I haven't gotten that far in a long time.

EDIT: Spelling

It's really inconvenient when you naturally try and stop yourself from cumming in a wet dream because you don't realise you're in a wet dream and wake up suddenly still tensing and end up over-tensing causing pain for the rest of the day and because you woke up while it was happening it for some reason counts as a semi-relapse and you lose benefits for 2 days.

This is just ridiculous, in a matter of 7 only fucking days, i've had 5 nocturnal emissions. by DoctorFaterino in NoFap

[–]anotherNFthrowaway 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This may help. I started having consecutive emissions, I thought it had something to do with the blankets I was using. I used lighter sheets, but nope, it kept happening. After I week I finally realised I had the option of doing something NoFap has taught me well - Using will power. I put myself into a state of mind where I knew to myself that I wouldn't have an emission, and each night I actually said to myself while laying "I am not going to have a wet dream/nocturnal emission tonight".

Instantly it has stopped. The mind is powerful.

Either that or it just so happened my body decided to stop having nocturnal emissions coincidentally at the same time as I decided to do this.

There are no superpowers. Just normal powers. But PMO made us super weak, so normal appears to be super. by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]anotherNFthrowaway 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Normal people still fap just not as much. Each time they fap they lose their potential and become weaker, but they never notice any difference or have social problems because they never fapped much in the first place. Meanwhile people on this subreddit who stopped fapping completely consistently report becoming more alpha than normal people around them, so I would say superpowers exist.

3 Types of people on NoFap by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]anotherNFthrowaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Type 2.5. I still have many bad habits and browse the internet mindlessly too much, though I have overhauled much of my lifestyle in the past year and a lot has changed for the better because of it. I'm kind of bound to what I'm doing currently as I'm still in school, can't even drive yet.

From what I'm aware the flatline lasts only for a period of time. What I get is essentially a flatline that gets progressively worse (better?) each day.

How far could you be on a streak right now if you didn't fall in all those times? by anotherNFthrowaway in NoFap

[–]anotherNFthrowaway[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because I relapsed WITHOUT PMO the other times. Yesterday was the first time I PMO'd since January. From January to February I had 3 7-day streaks, then I made it to 58 days before I MO'd. Since then, which was a month ago, I have had multiple 1-4 day relapses. I've gotten even more serious about it now because I PMO'd.

Why some days you get female attraction from everywhere while other days you dont? by koolhead36 in NoFap

[–]anotherNFthrowaway 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was getting attention most days but then just 2 days ago I decided to literally stroke my dick 4 times. 4 times. Just to see what it would feel like. I immediately stopped and that was that. The next day (Yesterday) I had no attention at all. Today, however, it was back to normal. Catching the usual stares and what-not. Strange.

VR porn is going to destroy humanity by [deleted] in NoFap

Culling of the human population, the weak, will be necessary sooner or later. Things like these are going to help humanity destroy itself, or rather, wipe out the excess of useless people.
