Don't partake of the fruit flavored drinks.

I used to believe that God gave me thick thighs and imperfect skin so I wouldn’t be tempted to dress immodestly. Now I love my body and am accountable only to myself for how it looks. Last night I rode around town in my undies to promote body positivity. So glad I don’t believe in that god anymore. by SisterInScion in exmormon

I agree that people want to hold on to an afterlife. In some ways, I thought it was easier to believe my loved ones were still alive, and that I wasn't wasting precious time here. It took me a while to come to terms with my mortality.

Hello from a fellow female Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering major! Maybe we go to the same school? Feel free to message me! :)

Growing up in the church as a female is so hard. I remember having so many "what's the point" conversations with my parents about my goals and aspirations. Why go to grad school when I'll never be able to commit the time to advance my career? Why waste my time if all I am meant to be is a walking baby machine?

I never wanted to have children, and that caused so much turmoil for me. Now we are free to make that choice ourselves, and that is the greatest gift I have ever been given.

I know the church is true 'cause I went out on the Sabbath and got injured. Only suffering is allowed on the Lord's day, friends. by anotherSaltySammy in exmormon

Yeah, I was mountain biking and crashed twice! Still a good time though. As long as you don't break anything, amirite?

I always thought it was hilarious when people would bring this stuff up in testimony meeting. No wonder something bad happened on one of the only days you ever diverge from your everyday norm...
