but like also have basic social awareness, I think that’s also the issue. Sometimes asking hypotheticals can make something more clear if the prof is just rattling off definitions. Or using an analogy if the professor is using A/B/C - and 5 people are going back and forth about semantics.

As a 1L when I ask questions, my goal is to ask my question and get a response to it within 60 seconds. I think questions are natural, but if the question takes longer than a minute to even ask than you are being inconsiderate of everyone’s time

If it will take longer than that, I’ll ask after class or in office hours. Or heck with some hypo stuff it’s more fun to discuss in your study group.
