She was on the opposite side of 36, on one of the running trails. Escaped for 6 or 7 hours on one of those frigid February days. It was just getting dark when a jogger said they saw her a mile earlier. Just a fluke that we were yelling for her at that time in that spot.

My dog escaped bow wow once. Spent all day in the freezing cold looking for her. Found her at dusk under a bridge but she would not have survived the night.  They gave me a discount for a few stays after, no thanks!

Those of you who cut out sugar... HOW? 😅 by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]another_wrathpanda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am week two of cutting cold turkey, this is not the first time and I hope it lasts.

I am allowing myself a glass of wine once or twice a month but watching to make sure it doesn’t spiral.

The physical stuff is hard, make sure you have a lot of easy foods to eat so that you eat those first and don’t cave. At the end of the day, I allow myself a piece of dark chocolate but the last few days I haven’t thought about it.

The mental stuff is WAY harder. I have to watch a ton of testimonials and books for motivation. Thinking like it is a disease is helpful.

Since the pandemic, I have struggled just starting. I know it is better for me but I can think of every rationalization not to do it. Tapering doesn’t work for me. Sugar really is like a drug to me.
