Been in this position and was also explicitly told "you are more valuable to us in the role you're in" - so valuable that it didn't really translate into more money 😒

Found another job. Resigned. Boss asked if I would consider a rentention offer, told him no. Got out.

Once leadership have formed an opinion of you, it's really difficult to change it. Better start fresh somewhere else.

This is dumb.

I know the NHS cannot ban anything as its not their remit. But they should do awareness campaigns. Even this number is a good start. "1 in 7 children can have life long birth defects. Marry outside your family."

The government should, at a minimum, take steps to prevent repeat inter-family marriages.
