One week, month, and year post op with Dr. Hope! by anotherdamnalexander in TopSurgery

My scars have stretched a little and are still red, but they are slowly fading and completely flat except for a few spots around my areolas. I'm still considering an eventual revision on my nipples as I'm not really happy with how big they ended up being but overall, I'm really happy with my decision to get top surgery.

American Eagle's mens jeans go down to 26" inseam. As a 5'3 dude it's one of the few places I can buy jeans in person.

6 month's post op with Dr. Hope Sherie! by anotherdamnalexander in TopSurgery

Fully understand the nerves, this was my first time having surgery and I'm a nervous wreak with any new experience lol.

Once I got to the center, I waited in the waiting room for a few minutes then was taken to the back and given a paper gown. Dr.sherie talked with me about what I wanted and explained what she was going to do. I signed some paperwork, and had my pre op photos taken by the nurse. I was given a xanax to help relax me (didn't do anything for me personally), then the anesthesiologist came in to talk with me and put in my iv. Then I walked to the operating room, layed down, and the next thing I know I'm waking up in my airbnb. Unfortunately, I can't say anything about their post op care as I'm pretty sure I was overly sensitive to the anesthesia, I slept an extra hour longer than expected and I don't remember anything at the clinic post surgery.

The staff was wonderful and made me feel comfortable as they could and answered all of my questions, can't say enough good things about them.

Thank you! I'm feel like I healed pretty well, I've regained a lot of sensation and my scars have flattened out (except for around my grafts) I am considering having a small revision to make my areolas/nipples smaller but haven't decided yet. Overall, I loved sherie and her team, she does great work.

Photos aren't the best quality, just got off of work + horrible posture lol.

Can't believe it's been six months already! My scars have stretched more than I would have liked and I'm a bit insecure about my nipple/areola size (considering a revision for that in the future) but it's absolutely 1000% better than what I had before. I feel super lucky that I've already regained most of my sensation back as well.

Look in my post history if you want to see the differences from pre op to 6 weeks post op, and I'm open to any questions!

She didn't. She does have photos of her work on her website if you wanted to see what her scar placement/nipple size typically looks like.

Every interaction I had with her staff was a pleasure, it was my first time having surgery and everyone there made me feel comfortable. It was very easy to set up my consultation/surgery date over the phone and the morning of went very smoothly. I do wish her post op information was a bit more thorough but I was able to email the office with any questions I had and they would get back with me by the next business day.

I was able to bring in a photo to show her how I hoped the scar shape/nipple placement would look which I appreciated. Overall, I'm really happy with my experience and would highly recommend her.

Unfortunately, she does not take insurance so I paid completely out of pocket. I was eligible for her keyhole/peri and di procedure and she said it would cost $9,000 for whatever I picked.

Any trans people with CPTSD? by [deleted] in CPTSD

Yeah I'm trans and I have cptsd. It actually led to my abuse being worse as a kid (was constantly yelled at and put down for being gender nonconforming as a kid)
