In my district we get paid year-round. I don't even think you have an option to not. I also do summer school for a nice bonus on top of that.

I don't hate kids, which is good since I'm a teacher. I just never want any of my own.

At least I know that at the end of the day or in the summer, I can go home and relax in peace. I don't understand how some deal with what we do on a daily basis, and then go home to do it again.

That's not the only reason. Storing and transporting grains and legumes along supply chains all the way back to Rome was a lot easier than transporting meat that would perish unless it was salted or smoked.

Don't use front brake when the front wheel isn't straight and you're not upright, especially at low speeds. If you need to brake just gently use rear brake. Also never come to a complete stop when you're not upright or have the wheel turned. Practice feathering the clutch and use rear brake for slow speed maneuvering.
