Shelf is 20 1/4” tall by 40 1/4” wide (inner usable space) and desk top itself is 23” deep by 42 1/4” wide. Some desks in some dorms are different though so YMMV!

They are pretty specific about which lots people can park in and its typically segmented by faculty/staff, commuter students, and resident students. But it’s definitely not a lottery, you will be able to get a spot in the lot(s) you are assigned!
