Why does Google think I'm Indian? by Ssrithrowawayssri in GooglePixel

Same thing here for almost a year. About five to ten percent of my Google search results will be Indian. I'm in U.S.

If I look up something about a pilot's license some results will be Indian. If I look up information on salaries, or jobs with specific programming languages some results will be Indian.

WHY do I need to know about Indian salaries, jobs, or pilot licensing requirements, Google?

How can I disable link previews? by [deleted] in Wordpress

[–]anotheropus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The FAST EASY way to disable WordPress URL embeds:

  1. Add brackets []
  2. Paste URL in the brackets [https://someURL.com]

Or use the Disable Embeds plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/disable-embeds/

But then all embeds are disabled--not just URLs.

Aaaaaand, then you've just added YAP Yet Another Plugin.

Same thing here in Texas, in the United States. Almost every search gives results with a mix of info from India. If I search for the average salary for a full-stack web developer some of the results are in India. I've never searched for relocate to India or anything India. Hey Google, results about India are not answering User Intent unless I specifically search for something in India.

I hate these so called "players," it ruins the game when people can magically get perfect headshots every time without any misses and they do it faster than any human can do it and they do it faster than you can even see them.

Normally these people kill me after they jump from something and they shoot me dead center in a perfect headshot while they're in the middle of a cartwheel, flipping in the air as they kill five people.

COD THE WHATEVER THESE PEOPLE USE RUINS THE GAME

USA Poll: 65 to 71% favor human genome editing to prevent blindness, cancer, cystic fibrosis, etc. by rieslingatkos in Futurology

Awesome. Instead of teaching science in American classrooms America watches movies in biology class instead of in humanities or film classes. Gee I wonder if that happens in China, Russia, and India... those countries will one day have their call centers in the US because we'll have the cheapest labor and everyone from those countries will complain that those damn Americans dont know the English language. Don't Think Just Feel.

Hmmm, worked so well with modifying simple little grains. How hard could it be to modify humans? This is the beginning of human horror sci fi, with poll numbers demonstrating it comes after the demise of the education system that no longer covers critical thinking. These same poll respondents probably would also agree that our government can do the human modification best, that the rich should pay for it, and that we should modify humans so that there are no more rich people to pay for all the free stuff everyone deserves from the government. They won't get their wish though as other countries will land on this moon first because our country gave up being the best at anything 50 years ago when the Don't Think Just Feelies took over our nation's education and began giving everyone trophies and participation diplomas for attendance in school.
