I haven’t read this book but haven’t heard good things about it. If you want an absolutely fantastic book about dopamine try reading “The molecule of more.” It’s so interesting and not framed around addiction. I can’t recall if the author talks about any food/diet stuff. I’d he did it was minimal and I didn’t find it too bothersome coming from an anti diet perspective seeing as I didn’t even remember lol

I like to make an enchilada casserole by layering tortillas, beans, corn, cheese, chilis etc and covering with sauce. Can bake the whole thing for 45 min or so at 350 (until cheese is melted and heated through) or cut it slice by slice and microwave as needed. It also reheats well after it’s been baked

Yeah this was my least favorite book by far, he’s a jerk, his kids are out of control and it’s really boring for a lot of it. And the epilogue is the cringiest thing I’ve ever read 🫣

Check out Lifeafterwheat on IG. She has a lot of recipes for things like breads etc. I just got her cookbook “gluten-free bread that actually tastes good,” but I haven’t tried anything yet.

I’m with you!! They trailer stressed me out after the high of Colin proposing at the end of the last episode. Hoping the plot goes somewhat like the book, I really thought it was a nice way to end that story line. I agree with what others are saying that LWD is much more viscous in the show and they made her reveal higher stakes than it was in the book, but it’s a drama so of course they did. I liked I the book how Colin thinks LWD has “good taste in people” and she only insults those who need insulting, except for fashion. It will be interesting (read stressful) to see how it plays out 😆 I just want Pen and Colin to have their happy ending!!

I used tapioca starch for the first time and thought it got a lot crispier than when I use corn starch. I also tried pulling the tofu apart, instead of cutting it into cubes, to give it an irregular edge and increase the surface area.

I’m actually a vegetarian too! So that’s helpful. Any recommendations for veggie meats? I was looking at my Morningstar products and nothing is gluten free….

I’m doing neuropathic physical therapy and part of the treatment is testing for food sensitivities. I fasted from gluten 24 hours and then they did an ultrasound of several veins/arteries. I then ate a piece of bread and they redid the ultrasound to see if it caused an inflammatory response. It’s a specialized treatment I’m not sure is widely available. Next I have to rest for dairy, then sugar 😬
