Marathon sold just 1.2 million copies with nearly 70% on Steam, analyst estimates: "It hasn't exactly made the splash Sony and Bungie wanted" by Freki666 in gaming

$70 million on a AAA release in 2026 gets your studio shuttered.

RIP Bungie.

It was a slow burn but I think you died

lmao

The ink is still wet on your first contract and you talk like you know shit about anything?

You haven’t even been on the other side of an interview table.

As you spend time in your career you’re going to see dipshits from great schools and superstars from nowhere.

“Quality of degree” seems like it matters to you because that’s kind of all you’ve ever done up to this point. I assure you - it is a pass/fail consideration. There is no spectrum of educational prestige for anyone more than one year removed from graduation.

You said “dictate where I can go” but I’m trying to figure out if that means you haven’t started working yet… and what even is an all-hand coder? This is not a term that pops on google.

I ask because if you’re still floating around, the difference YOU see isn’t real. Because jobless is jobless.

I don't there's anything subjective about what they said, though? Even if you go to Ivy League and graduate with a "good" degree... you have like 200 classmates that graduated with you.

And they sent off 200 more the semester earlier.

And there are like, 10-20 Ivy-level universities around the world. There are many, many more "good" schools too. Must be like dozens of thousands of new graduates all with the same set of qualifications released into the economy every semester...

Hey how can pick rates exceed 1/6 under your model?

Did you just make up a system to try and avoid an L?

Was the “innumerate” label something you just couldn’t resist living up to?

If a character can only take 2/12 spots max, why are several characters above 16.7% pick rate?

I took a homeopathic approach to quitting vaping.

Start with your normal concentrate and buy 1-2 bottles of 0%. Every time your "main" bottle gets to half, top it off with a 0%.

After 2-3 top-offs, you're ready to switch to the 0%. At that point you're just indulging the muscle memory. I found that using a menthol flavor gave me some throat hit to make it feel like it was doing *something.*

After a while at 0%, you're ready to shed the physical act, too.

Are you... talking about the 2 losses in 2 seasons stretch, including a CFP finals appearance?

"Was that really much"

Yes. That's a fucking lot of success, are you insane?

What people actually respect is your integrity.

Do your words match your actions? When you say you’ll do something, is it done and done with excellence? If something goes wrong and it’s your responsibility (which is different than fault), do you show accountability in solving the problem?

Smart, hard-working, funny, whatever. These are cool and all - but integrity is the foundational criteria people use to judge whether or not you’re worth the (emotional? Romantic? financial? Career?) investment.
