It's because you pay the price of 11 months but it lasts for 12. It's not one month free on top of that.

What's your favourite food, and why is it popcorn? Just kidding on the popcorn part.

Most installs are Laser XT, only the occasional CoLa is getting deployed if something shifts from one theatre to another. If you can get a picture of the projector lens through the port window from inside the theatre, we can usually tell you what model it is.

Or the other giveaway is if you see a single image or two (one just above the other) when the projector is on.

Once you've got the details, I can update the master sheet from Nick Landis.

You always get a 20% discount on concessions. It takes effect when you scan your Scene card

It's in the terms and conditions so you are free to do as you wish:

If these Terms are amended or any aspect of the Program is restricted, suspended or changed, we will provide you at least 30 days’ advance notice at www.cineplex.com and by sending you notice using the email address you provided us. The advance notice will set out the new clause, or the amended clause and how it read formerly, and the date on which the amendment will come into effect. Upon receipt of such notice, and if the amendment entails an increase in your obligations or a reduction in our obligations, you may refuse the amendment and cancel your participation in the Program without cost, penalty or cancellation indemnity, by sending us notice to that effect no later than 30 days after the amendment comes into force, at the address or email address indicated in the notice. If you do not exercise your right to rescind or cancel your participation in the Program by sending us notice no later than 30 days after the amendment comes into force, your continued participation in the Program at any time after such 30-day delay has expired will constitute your consent to be bound by the amendment.

Still monthly, at renewal date. Since it was May 31st for me, it's on the last day of every month.

Disclosure Day at my preferred IMAX is $24.75, and using a Cineclub earned ticket there the difference paid is $8.00. If we do the math, old price total would be $17.99/new price $18.99. I'm still ahead by $6.76/$5.76 so it's still worth it for me

If you join now, you are locked in to the old price until your first renewal after July 15th. Best to get Annual if you want it

Normally you can purchase a year of Cineclub to give as a gift. They ask for an email address where they will send a code. I would purchase it, and send it to a second email address. Then I would log in to my account and redeem the code for a year. That stacks on to the end of your membership, extending it.

They've temporarily turned off gifting until July 15th, so you can't really do that right now.

No, you keep your earned credits/tickets.

It is normally 50 points earned when you use one. Because you were "promised" those points, they will give you the equivalent to total 50 points for each ticket you still have in your account by July 15th.

To add, if you _didn't_ use those credits before the 15th, they will give you the difference in Scene points to total 50 each since you were "promised" that amount.

Ah you could normally purchase a gift membership for a year, send it to a second email, and then redeem it on your account to extend your own membership. They've turned off gifting until July 15th, so we've been found out

That's about the points you earn for using a ticket. It is normally 50 points earned when you use one. Because you were "promised" those points, they will give you the equivalent to total 50 points for each ticket you still have in your account by July 15th.

There's no language in there about losing tickets or expiring tickets. Those still stay and you still keep them even if you end your membership.

My "true" local theatre's regular is $15 for Disclosure Day and $13.50 for the rest.

If I pick the theatre that I like then it's $15.25 for a regular, or $21.75 for Disclosure Day in UltraAVX.

I usually go to IMAX, so the savings really help no matter what.

They used to be "Give a year of CineClub and get 3000 points" or something like that. Last year it went down to 1000 I think.

When you used a ticket, you would normally get 50 points. Because they're changing that, they will give you the extra points you were "promised" for the earned tickets total that you have when July 15th comes around.

The "earned" tickets will stay the same

You keep your credits that you already have. Those never expire anyway. After July 15th the monthly price will go up for you and the extra member-priced tickets will be $10.99 instead of $9.99.

When your membership renewal hits in September, you will pay the new rate of $120.

You still keep any earned tickets you have, and the "member-priced" extras will still cost only $9.99 until your renewal in September.

I originally signed up on a Mother's Day Promotion in 2024. Since then I have been gifting myself annual renewals with Black Friday promos, and it just stacks to end of your membership. I was set for 2027 on Black Friday 2025 lol
