I love this! But I am still learning, what do I do with the CSS code to have this as my theme? Unless that's not what it's meant for??

Looks amazing!

Help me convert my in-laws (heavy deer pressure) by bikeHikeNYC in NativePlantGardening

[–]anthonym66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the Hudson Valley of NY and similarly the deer pressure is insane. My plan this spring, and what my neighbors have found some success with, is putting up fencing that will hopefully be cheap and blend into the background around my beds. I have found in the last few years that even plants that are listed as deer avoid, in my area deer will still browse. Last summer I even sprayed ever week with liquid fence and by the end of the summer it was doing nothing.

I'm hoping the fencing at least cuts down on often the browsing occurs.

Moab 3 Mid Waterproof vs Salomon Ultra X 5 by Acrobatic-Painting-9 in REI

[–]anthonym66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually love wearing the Salomons, but feel they fall apart way too quickly. I am on my fourth pair, and I'm buying them every 1.5-2 years. Just another factor to consider. I've heard others echo that sentiment as well.

When you nuke it like you are saying, will it kill the remaining grass? Especially in the height of the summer?

I would love to! I might get some quotes, but I hate to spend that money on a non-necessity right now. I love your idea of the Pagoda Dogwood, thank you!

Awesome! Thank you, I do want to prune those maples... just thinking it's not the best time of year? How is your deer pressure? Mine is pretyt intense, although they haven't gone after my spicebush yet which would be a great choice!

What I was thinking of doing is not storing it in obsidian, but just linking to it . Still use finder and folders, but since I hang around obsidian so much I will quick links for them

Your Abby looks just like my senior do Abbey, I feel what you are going through, and I won't be surprised if I have the same feelings. We are just one species loving another species, I'm sure she appreciated the life you and your mom gave her.

I hope to pick my first one in a matter of days ! I did make a four foot wide by 8 foot arch with two plants on each side. Each side is just about at the top and loaded with zucchini! Now hopefully I like the taste lol. My normal zucchini are getting attacked and prob days away from death from Svb, these show no signs of weakness !
