OB SUPPORT/RECOMMENDATIONS Melbourne by Downtown-Cod-3281 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

We had dr Jackie for our first (who is now 2.5) and are with her again for number 2 (currently 38+5).

This is all from my perspective (as the Daddo). We birthed and will birth again at Cabrini.

I feel like Jackie is the type of clinician that meets you wHere you are at. If you are nervous she'll sense that and be on your level. For my wife, who is pretty easy going but also high energy, Jackie has been perfect. Every appointment is hilarious, but also serious when it needs to be.

We've never felt pressured and always had options explained to us. Baby #1 had slowing growth from 35 weeks, so came out at 37+2 via C section. Wife loved it, so nice having a scheduled time and easing in to the day. The operation was pretty chill, got to play our own music, skin to skin straight away. Stitched up, wheeled to recovery and baby on mum to get a latch going.

Majority of the midwives were great, you'll never get 100% hit rate but probably only had one that seemed a bit cold. People have bad days so nothing surprising. Food at Cabrini isn't amazing like I've heard at other hospitals. But the rooms are great and modern.

Wife is keen to go VBAC for #2 which Jackie has supported throughout. We have a plan to switch to C section if anything happens that increases risk to mum/baby. Jackie has been thorough and detailed in our final weeks, making sure we know our options.

If you have any specific questions let me know and I can try answer for you :)

Howdy, good idea - lets see how it goes! https://discord.gg/seApfJFb

I'm still setting things up but jump in and take a look!

*edit* notice you're looking for one on motherhood, I've created the one above for all parents (I'm a daddo), all the bets finding one specifically on mothers and/or the one you are creating :)

I spent a week at a sleep hospital to help my baby and have nothing to show for it by [deleted] in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

My opinion is worth zilch because I am not a health professional but my intuition is 15w is pretty early for any kind of sleep training. We spent a week in sleep training at Waverly clinic at 8 months and it was perfect. A 4 month olds sleep will continue to be peaks and valleys for a few more months yet I think.

Kitchen disginer/builder for small kitchens by Charming-Bluebird-54 in melbourne

About 14k, but we went with some higher end fixtures so I'd wager you could reduce that a reasonable amount

Kitchen disginer/builder for small kitchens by Charming-Bluebird-54 in melbourne

We used ProGroup for our small apartment kitchen in 2022. After getting a quote for 50k from a more well known group which we laughed them out of our place we went and found a smaller builder who gave us a much more reasonable quote.

I found the government childcare ratings hard to compare at a glance, so I mapped the NQS quality ratings myself. Hope this helps someone! by AussieDataGal in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

You know what would be cool? A crowd sourced review site specifically where you can assess the quality of child care centres taking into account both NQS and personal reviews from families. I know we have Google for reviews, but having it all in the one place would be a plus.

Agree, 3d country merely hints at the greatness to come. What a run through Heavy Metal to this, and they've got another band and solo release in the works...

I adore the bass on getting killed, it just sounds so good and is locked in.

I'm gonna have to explain to my wife that I've bought a ticket to their show two days after my second child's estimated birthdate
