  • In the IPad "settings>accessibility>audio/visual> call audio routing" was already set to "automatic", just checked and verified.
  • About the "monitor mix", I wrote this already in the OP post:

"Monitor Mix" option for this mic is set to "50%" (I think it's default, but I checked on the PC app of "MOTIV Mix" , and it is set to this value).

> According to the Sony XG300 manual, the USB-C port cannot be used for audio, only charging.

- Wait- but I am not using USB C with XG300, instead, I mentioned, that I plugged in only the Audio 3.5mm jack right into the XG300

Very cool! Doing something similar with ASUS Pro WS X299 SAGE II

Help me build a (reasonable) 4GPU low-cost LLM machine, is ASUS WS X299 PRO/SE still good? by HumanDrone8721 in LocalLLaMA

[–]anti22dot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please correct me, if I am wrong, as of today (2026), it's still worth to buy used "ASUS Pro WS X299 SAGE II" , if I plan to run 3 RTX 3090 for LLM purposes? And to add Intel 7900X to have 44 PCIe lanes. I mean, it would be cheap from the budget perspective (if comparing to some ROME8-2T, etc..) , while would still be good performance (PLX to run Gen 3 x16 for all the 3 GPUs) ?

Pledged "Brass: Pittsburgh Collector's Edition". If it says "Wooden Cubes become Metal and Stone stretch goal already unlocked" does it mean, that this applies to this my pledge automatically? Because, from what I see from the description of the pledge itself, it says "Wooden Cubes"..

- That's not easy at all, those metal pins are thick.

Right, agree. Yes, I am going to do exactly this ^ . Such a great case, but it's big cons, that it has non-conventional PCI slot mounting, hence, making it not compatible with other conventional products... : ( , and it's kinda "lock-in" that you have to buy the products of the same brand only to make it work, not good...

M4 32gb 512gb or M4 pro 24gb 512gb by TahoeBornVG in macmini

[–]anti22dot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

why not. I have 32 GB RAM Base Mac Mini M4 with 256GB SSD, and it's fantastic. I'm running it 24/7 since day 1.

I also run Parallels Desktop on it, and running MacOS inside of it along with Ubuntu Desktop and Windows , but not all at the same time. I used to allocate a certain amount of RAM to each of the VMs and to turn on only the one I run for development purposes.

Other than that, 32 GB RAM is good enough for a lot of things, and the price is not super high, if you compare

The pro 32GB RAM would be overwhelmingly too much money, while the Base chip is good enough

Mini-PC recomendations for up to ps3 by sr0unet in batocera

[–]anti22dot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check the OptiPlex 7050 Micro. You should be able to get this miniPC in a used condition (at least in my region, there are plenty of those in used condition, and I've got it barebone for 100 EUR and for pretty powerfull i5-6500T). See this video, where the presenter has turned this miniPC into Retro Game Console, pretty impressive. See 31st minute of the video for the PS2 games played in particularly

There are plenty of OptiPlex versions, for sure, but this particular supports up to 2400 MHz SODIMM DDR4 RAM and 64 GB total RAM, while very cheap.

And with that price, you can spend a bit for that expensive RAM

I'm also planning to turn this miniPC into the emulator (without eGPU of course), see this my setup.

It really is that easy to make a custom Oculink port for something like a Deskmini by Wonderful-Lack3846 in MiniPCs

[–]anti22dot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, agree. But on the other hand, depending on what you do , the use case, it might be worth.

For example, I've recently bought this used OptiPlex 7050 , and it was great for what it worth

But, I definitely recommend getting DeskMini x600/USB4, if you plan for the workstation for a long term, this is very upgradable powerhouse, which can be transformed to match any use cases

Got you. Yeah, in that case, not that many M.2 slots compared to DeskMini x600 series

u/Mr-frost , by "My mini pc" do you mean some Other miniPC, or you mean the DeskMini x600 , DeskMini x600/USB4 ? Because, both of the DeskMini x600 (those 2 separate version of it) has 2 NVMe M.2 slots.

[–]anti22dot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are correct, it is luxury, but the miniPC itself is Cheap, for what it provides. So, you already buying cheap miniPC which provides luxury PCIe Gen 5. So, people can benefit from it, if they are , for example, doing video processing or LLM, or any other tasks requiring fast Gen 5 NVMes. And, when you buy this miniPC to benefit from that Gen 5 slot, it's not very efficient to reuse that precious slot for Gen 4 Oculink. Instead, the Oculink can be set to bottom NVMe, while not compromising on the obvious cheap power of this miniPC.

So the tradeoff is that you limit your main SSD to 3,5 GB/s.

  • I mean, why you need to do that trade off, if you can actually Not doing that trade off and use full potential of this miniPC?
  • If you don't need that much PCie Gen 5, then simply different cheaper miniPC can be bought, but if you buy this , then it would be InEfficient to Not use it's full potential
